  • Came with a Broad nib, not Medium

    Mar 16, 2014

    clinzy  from East Coast, Rating:5.0

I have a Sheaffer Intensity that I paid $90 for at a local pen shop. My husband wanted one, so I ordered one for him with a medium nib, thinking we could share nibs. It was shipped with a broad nib. Turns out, we both liked that nib, so we won't be returning it - just be prepared to get a different nib than listed. Overall, I love this pen - it is a little top-heavy if you post, but that doesn't bother me. The writing is smooth and it holds a LOT of ink in the converter. I like not needing to refill every 2 days or so. I also like the slim profile of the pen.

  • Not what I thought

    Dec 23, 2014

    Pepper15  from Hanover, PA, Rating:3.0

It was a clear one instead of black which was a disappointment from the beginning. It looks cheesy and when I reported it to Overstock, they made a price adjustment for me. It still doesn't perform as expected as some of my pens slide out of the indentations on the bottom. I'd call it a $6 item, not what was charged.

  • An Outstanding "Value" Fountain Pen

    Mar 2, 2014

    coltauto7  from Redlands, CA, Rating:5.0

Collecting fountain pens has been for perhaps 30 years an on-and-off again affair. That said, perhaps 15 years ago I purchased one of these Vectors as a take-about, duty pen. It's proven reliable, well-constructed and lays down a moderately wet, medium width line. Wanting to make use of a less-expensive pen for use in experimenting with an often spoken about "saturated" ink I was pleased to see the Vector line still available. I was happy to discover noting has changed and this item proves that inexpensive does not always translate to cheap or ineffective.

  • nice, but difficult

While I really like the shape, style and look of this fountain pen, it has given me trouble since I bought it. If I am not continually using it, the nib dried and is VERY difficult to get the ink flowing again. Takes a while just to write with it then next time, even if it is only an hour or two later. Unfortunate, because it is nice and was somewhat expensive for this.

Great price for a popular Parker pen.
