Bought this to protect my new hardwood floor from my office chair. The look is okay. The problem is I lifted it up after having it on the floor for about 1 month and found a sticky residue from the matt stuck to my hardwood floor that I cannot remove. I ended up having to hide the space with a small rug. I don't know if there is something about my floor that caused this reaction or not but beware of this possibility as my floor is now ruined.

Beautiful Mat!
I am using this in an industrial style room with window bars and a grey, silver, and black color scheme. I was concerned that the mat might resemble a cheesy photo mousepad but this is not the case. The mat has a slight glittery sparkle to it and could pass at first glance for an aluminum floor. Very pleased!
