Does what I needed it to do Probably spent a little more for the "ultimate" but...It is thin but not too thin. It has a slight give to it which is comfortable underfoot without chair rolling issues. We have it on a deep shag carpet and it hasn't skid. You can see the carpet clearly through it...last and most importantly, our dog doesn't mind laying on it under the desk.
