I bought this mat with the new chair I got, expecting it to be the normal floor mat, but boy was I surprised, It was purchased to go over a wood parquet oak floor that was starting to dent and splinter from rolling office chairs years of use. I tell you, my chairs roll over it like a breeze, and no more dents or splinters in the floor, it really is the exceptional mat for a wood floor, and there is not pokey things on the floor either, it is just smooth, I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
