Initially pleased... I ordered two of the Floortex chair mats in February 2014 for my home office. The mats were placed on low carpet and remained flat without curling. I thought that they were exactly what I needed. However...about two months ago one of the chair mats began to crack. So far, there are about four cracks. I don't know what the life expectancy is for a chair mat, but I would have thought that it would have been more than two years.

Happy so far... Hard Plastic! The size is just enough for a normal desk . If you have a larger space you will want a larger mat. The plastic is hard, not soft and floppy. We are using on low pile (business) carpet and are optimistic this mat will hold up well.
