Fellowes Powershred 15 Sheet Paper Shredder (Refurbished)

After searching several places in town & online, we bought this shredder because of the price, but to be honest, I wish we'd gotten a cross-cut or micro-cut shredder for that price! The following week a local chain store had one much cheaper (with a rebate) that had a finer cut, but I'd already tossed the shipping material & box this one came in. It works fine, but I don't feel our documents are being cut small enough. Now, I'll have to use the shredder papers as packing material in boxes to family / those I can trust. The cuts are so large they will have to be composted. It is very well constructed, sounds like a strong motor, so guess I'll be living with it for a while. For it's size, it would have been nice if it had come with wheels to move it around more easily.

I love the credit card shredding feature. I had a previous shredder that burnt out. This one works so much better and the instructions were great in making sure it doesn't burn out.

I just got this shredder and in that it is not a cross-cut shredder, it just does the strips. Although it clearly indicates this in the description, in my haste I missed that detail. Now, it does a great job, is powerful and is very quick. However, at this price I wish I had gotten one of the cross-cut shredders. The big problem with the strips is that they seem to take a lot more room, which means emptying the bin much more. I just shredded about an inch or so of paper and the bin (which is quite large) is nearly full.
