If you are left handed and have problems with how pens write because of the 'pushing' motion (ball-points can't always handle it, and gel or rollerball types the ink stays wet too long and you get it all over your hand) this is great. The ink still stays wet a little while so if you are writing fast you may have some ink on your hand, but not as much as with liquid rollerball types and it doesn't usually smudge much. The only problem is that the pen cap ridge where you hold the pen is a 'sharp' corner and kind of cuts into your fingers, but I shaved it down a bit with a razorblade just to take the edge off (literally) and that has helped. Have had no issues with the pen drying out. This works so well and they're so hard to find that I am going to probably buy as many boxes as seems reasonable without being crazy overboard so that I always have some on hand. If you're a southpaw you totally know why that's important, and even if you aren't, these are great pens.
not reccommended to anyone..some of the pens did not work...have been around a long time..old product., i will not buy again

These pens are THE best pens that I've ever used. I've looked all over for pens that are smooth and inky without bleeding through the paper. I've tried Papermate felt tip pens, but those will bleed through your everyday lined paper, so that you can't really expect to write on both sides. These however have no such issue. The writing is smooth but not overly inky, so that you are only writing where you want to, and the writing is sufficiently effortless that you want to write because of them. They also don't dry out too easily, although I wouldn't leave them out overnight.

This pen came up under the search for a porous pen (think felt tip...) and was definitely not the one that used to be sold by Eberhard Faber. This one has a hard plastic tip that is not in the same universe as the porous pen I expected.
