I purchased this desk for my 9-year-old son. He doesn't have a computer, but uses this desk for Lego construction and play. The CPU shelf is the perfect width for small plastic storage drawers. And, the pull-out tray adds surface area for buidling. The table is a good height for him, and probably will be until he is grown (using an adjustable-height chair). It was easy to assemble with two people working together. The surface color/texture is hard to see on the web. It's black with a light gray speckle texture, giving it an overall charcoal gray color. I'd recommend this for any young person who wants to use it for Lego's, drawing, writing, or computing.

The assembly of this item went off without a hitch until I got to the two brass screws that keep the mouse platform from moving. Also, when the platform is placed on the righthand side, it has to be moved inward before the keyboard shelf can be pushed in. Therefore, I placed the platform on the lefthand side because I only use it for my coffee anyway. I kept the two screws thinking that in the future, with more diligence I might be able to attach them. The appearance and feel of this unit are excellent. My PC is black and the desk looks like it was made to order in the Anthracite finish. It is very sturdy and finsihed off very professionally. I love the fact that I can move the unit around with ease. This makes it easy to connect or disconnect peripherals if necessary. There is plenty of room on the upper desk for writing purposes even with the mouse and speakers located there along with my 17" LCD monitor.

We ordered this desk for a small space for the kids to use and its perfect! It didn't take to long to put it together and is sturdy. The top is big enough for the kids to use as a writing desk while they are working.

Good Value. Desk looks great in our reception area. Plenty of space for phone, computer screen and writing space. Side filing cabinets are excellent for daily files. Good buy.

This desk is just what I was looking for and at a great price. The surface is excellent for writing on. The reversible top is also great.

Easy to assemble, but very wobbly! Not enough support when base is attached to the t-bar, and yes, all screws are tightened. I do digitizing of embroidery patterns and am at computer for long periods of time and it is very intricate work. Even though I knew the lowest it would go, the length of the legs makes it very difficult to fit into the places I use it and I have about six choices, none of which are very convenient to use this. Far too difficult to pack up to return, so trying to deal with it. I looked for several months and was really looking forward to a computer desk with wheels that had a low profile instead of one that looked like it belonged in an office or warehouse. I do like the work space it has, but because of it being so unstable, not a lot of paperwork, writing, or a drink can be used on the side desk section.

We are very pleased with this desk. It is a very contemporary piece that will fit into any room. It is very heavy and requires two people to assemble. Once assembled, it has been wonderful to work at. I use the larger, primary desk space to hold two computer monitors and keyboards as well as a phone and other office supplies. The smaller, "return" portion is great for using as a writing space or laying out paper files for review. While this is a relatively expensive desk, it is certainly superior to any other "assembly required" desks you would find at an office supply store or even a standard furniture store.

This is a sleek, attractive looking option to a clunky industrial cart that we are using in our school for our document cameras. The laminate top is great for teachers to be able to write on, as opposed to some of the textured cart surfaces. It wasn't too hard to put together and arrived quickly. I like the way it looks, the cherry and black are a great combination. I was disappointed in the casters, they are plastic parts and don't look heavy duty.

It was easy to put together and suits my purposes for standing and writing on a computer or with pen and paper. Any project that only requires a small area is perfect for this desk since the height is changeable from standing to a sitting position. It's well balanced and even has that extension piece for a mouse under the glass desk that holds any papers or inks or a cup of tea or whatever suits the moment. It's great!

I've been looking for a standing desk for quite some time. And the way I am is I'll read on a number of products, read al lthe reviews and spend a good amount of time before I make a decision (and a lot of it is price based). For the quality and price, I decided to go with this one. I must say that I'm pretty pleased. I got this for my work and so far so good. It's easy to put together, enough space for keyboard, monitor and mouse and to write (although you may have to do some arranging to get it all to work out). The one thing I have about this is I noticed it's slightly slanting to the right. Not sure if it's because I'm leaning on it or what but I have noticed this. Overall, seems pretty sturdy and for the price, it's a good buy.

I got this to replace a medium-size computer desk that we just didn't have room for. It's great! Thanks to some careful cable planning, I can now wheel the computer anywhere I want. The table has just enough room up top for a keyboard and mouse; underneath comfortably holds the CPU tower and the subwoofer. All four wheels can easily lock for stability. Oh, and Overstock found a way to ship it to me for THREE dollars ... which shames most other things I've bought online. And as of this writing, there is no sign whatsoever that the table is haunted.

table top is damaged i 3 spots, not very sturdy. i don't know what else to write, it seems pretty silly that i have to type more than fifty characters.

This works very well and is large enough for a 17 inch laptop. It sits well on your lap and can be used for many things. Works great for eating on, working on... writing on... just an all around cool item. I am glad I have it. I recommend it for anyone that needs something secure for your lap. I believe it would work great for elderly people. It should be in with medical needs too. Just my own thinking...

I bought this desk for my son to use in his music room. This way he can use the computer to record, mix and write music. It is the perfect size for this and with the wheels it is easy to move around as needed. It was very easy to put together and looks nice.

I ordered three; one for my use, two as gifts. This is a really great idea. I can sit anywhere and use my laptop. I have also used this for writing. I did have one problem. One of the tufts on the pillow came apart within minutes of use. It was a simple repair with a needle and thread. Those given as gifts were put to use right away and I have not heard if the sewing on the pillows was defective. Overall, this is a good buy.

I did much reading online of reviews and various desks/devices for elevating a computer so I could stand up to work. My budget did not support the more expensive options, but happily this moderately priced option is perfect for me. I am 5'5" and was sitting at my desk for 7 hours straight. That didn't do well for my back and shoulders. I wanted something that I could stand up or sit down to use my computer. I purchased this desk and a tall, rolling 'barstool.' It is the perfect combination. The keyboard platform is large enough for a standard keyboard and a mouse and a wrist support. The keyboard platform is sturdy while I type. The top platform is large enough for my 17" freestanding monitor, a telephone and a 5" diameter pencil/pen/clip holder and it still leaves space to write. The bottom shelf is roomy enough to house my stand-up CPU and 3-4 binders. My barstool is high enough to keep my arms at the correct level to use the keyboard. This is a great, well-priced, space-efficient option.

Very satisfied with this product. The ease of assembly and style is excellent.I like where the actual computer is situated, when someting needs to be hooked up or unhooked you just reach over and everything is right there instead of having to reach underneath or pulling unit out to get at the computer.I have a 19" flat screen and yet plenty of room up top to write, for my coffee, and still plenty of room for office supplies. Its solid doesn`t wobble when using. Also even when pulling the cabinet out because its so solid, don`t have to catch anything ftom falling.A great product and would recommend this product to everyone.Thanks.

I use this product every day. It keeps my lap cool when using my laptop. I'll use it when using my laptop on the couch or bed and the beaded bag keeps the heat from the laptop from getting through to my lap. It's large enough to accommodate my laptop which is 17" wide. The mat can also double as a writing pad as well.

I was a little skeptical about this desk after reading the reviews but I must say I'm extremely pleased. It's beautiful, has a lot of writing space, and fits perfectly in my small home office. It was also easy to assemble (less than 30 minutes). I get so many compliments on it.
