This standing desk is really nice for the price. The crank works pretty smoothly, the top looks nice. The color of the top is very dark compared to the picture, but it did state in the description that is is dark walnut. It is veneer, of course. I do have 1 small scratch already. I did want a standing desk and love the simple design of this one; however, I did have to add a box, 8" high, for my monitor sit up higher, in order to have the keyboard at the right height and not have to look down. It was easy to assemble but a couple of the screw holes weren't threaded right so we had to struggle to tighten. Overall, a very good desk in this price range ( It seems to be a knockoff of a $1500 desk). Also received a 15% discount from Overstock after I had it in my cart--huge bonus and free shipping!

I did much reading online of reviews and various desks/devices for elevating a computer so I could stand up to work. My budget did not support the more expensive options, but happily this moderately priced option is perfect for me. I am 5'5" and was sitting at my desk for 7 hours straight. That didn't do well for my back and shoulders. I wanted something that I could stand up or sit down to use my computer. I purchased this desk and a tall, rolling 'barstool.' It is the perfect combination. The keyboard platform is large enough for a standard keyboard and a mouse and a wrist support. The keyboard platform is sturdy while I type. The top platform is large enough for my 17" freestanding monitor, a telephone and a 5" diameter pencil/pen/clip holder and it still leaves space to write. The bottom shelf is roomy enough to house my stand-up CPU and 3-4 binders. My barstool is high enough to keep my arms at the correct level to use the keyboard. This is a great, well-priced, space-efficient op...

This stand is ok. It doesn't feel too flimsy, but it doesn't feel very strong either. We are using it on a stage, so having a bright white bottom (which didn't show in the pictures) was something we had to fix right away. It has a very small heigh adjustment, about six inches. When I took the pieces out of the box, the heigh adjusting bar was stuck inside the center support. It took a LOT of shaking and prying to get it assembled. Currently it's on sale, but for the price tag I would have definitely got something else.

Really sturdy, good looking. Not very easy to assemble, however. Pretty much need two hands and lots of attention to pictures.

It is not for a recliner use. I does not go under. turn the top piece and inserted it at a different angle to help with the recliner usage but it wobbled. good for a standard chair. Product came way before it was to come with the standard shipping. Instructions were clear and precise. My laptop fits perfectly and the mouse i use on the other small table top. I will remove the wood piece that is to keep objects from falling off and use a mouse pad with cushion. The wood hurts my wrist.
