This "adjustable height" computer desk is NOT height adjustable. I purchased this item because I need a computer desk that is REALLY height adjustable and the only portion that is height adjustable is the bottom shelf which holds a CPU. I have gone to the trouble of assembling this desk and now must go to the additional GREAT trouble of disassembling it and returning it.

I ordered this desk knowing it had no shelves or hutch. I had several wall units already, and wanted a desk that would be massive and attractive to fill up a large office upon my home's entrance. The desk came in several boxes within a week! My husband put it together, the drawer/file box can go wherever you want. There is plenty of space under the unit to hide low shelving. I love it! It has accomplished what I intended. This one is not cherry, but a darker wood color. It shows prints quite readily, but windex can take care of that. The finish looks and is very durable.

Got this in really fast. Was a breeze to set up. Fits perfectly in the corner I have for it. Nice looking piece that is much roomier than it appears on here. The top shelf adjusts making it even more versatile.

We ordered this product to improve classroom flow. We were able to put all of our equipment in a small, moveable space. This opened up valuable room for better traffic flow. We have been most impressed by the workstation. The adjustable shelves are especially helpful.

This is the only laptop caddy we have ever used, so nothing to compare it to. It was easy to assemble although the instruction diagrams and print were a bit small and hard to read. And one small bushing, which wasn't mentioned in the instructions, had fallen off the shelf bracket. Had to figure out where it went after already attaching the shelf, so had to unscrew the shelf to install the bushing. Overall, it still only took about 15 minutes for me and my 6 year old grandson to assemble. In use, it is sturdy and fairly easy to adjust. The highest setting is just high enough so that when the base is rolled under the bed, it fits right above my wifes as she is sitting up in the bed. The lowest setting works well while seated in the living room. We like it and use it in multiple locations throughout the house everyday. Just roll it around and adjust as neccessary.

I am very happy with my new height adjustable desk. Being able to raise the desk to a standing position is amazing and feels great on my back and neck. I usually raise the desk in the afternoon when I get tired. The table raises up just like an office chair, pretty smart I must say. I like the storage shelf, where I keep my laptop.

we got 2 of them, one for the bedroom and one for the living room. I leave the one in the living room as an end table and then roll it around as I need it. I really like eating on it:) it was easy to put together and is height adjustable. the one in the bedroom is pretty much only used for laptop, the feet slide right under the bed and the whole thing works fine. I was not in the market for that bottom shelf but it turns out I use it all the time. sometimes just for a gallon of milk and a roll of paper towels when we are eating. the bottom shelf does hold a full size laptop though, which is nice.

This product was described as a "stand up" work station. Well maybe if you less than 5 foot tall it would be. It arrived without obvious damage to the cardboard box it was in but AFTER we got it assembled we noticed a ding on one edge of the main worktop and a rather serious stress crack on the other edge. Of course by now we've put all the time and energy into assembling it so the hassle of packaging it back up and waiting for a replacement was not acceptable. It's wobbly and the casters were a mess. They also didn't tell you about one MAJOR design flaw... when you adjust the main work top to the highest level it almost touches the upper shelf - thereby eliminating any use of the back half of the main worktop. The top shelf is NOT adjustable.!! We ended up setting it on bricks to raise it and stabilize it and had to monkey-up some extenders for the top shelf. All in all - NOT a good purchase. Don't know if we'll buy from Overstock.com again.

What I love about this product is its ease in rolling on carpet. Sturdy and the side shelf is perfect to out my papers etc. Fast shipment!!! Thanks. What I don't like about this product: It takes someone with patience and know how to assemble it. I have to ask my husband to get his tools and put all the screws and bolts for me. I like something that I can easily adjust up and down. That is why I thought this would be great. But it is a pain to screw/unscrew and then you think you got it all the way to adjust the table height. It do for my lap top when I feel like sitting and working I can and if I want to stand I can...well it doesn't adjust up and down easily, but I think if we put some lubrication on the joint that will solve the problem. Otherwise that is the only thing I don't like about this product.

I managed to assemble the desk solo in about an hour and a half, and the result was surprisingly sturdy for the price. No shipping damage on any parts and everything was included. Medium oak was a little darker than I expected, but looks good. Only complaint is that the keyboard shelf could have used a few more mounting holes inbetween the top set and the lowest one to give more height flexibility. I might drill some holes to adjust keyboard height if I can't live with current lowest setting. Overall, very happy with purchase at this price.

Having lifted our new credenza into our offices I can only confirm that this credenza is Heavy. It definately takes 2 people to lift it. It's very well made and everyting on it seems to be made to last a few generations. Having said that it's really nice looking and our office looks great with this new addition. The 2 file drawers are wide and takes a lot of paper and I like that they lock. The 2 door cabinets each have an adjustable shelf.

Slapped it together and it works great! Like the adjustments for the laptop shelf up and down, and the tilt is really handy and what sets this apart from others. The wheels would probably work great on a hard surface, kinda useless on carpet, but what can ya do? A handy device and I'd say worth the extra bucks for something you can use. I'd heard some say it's to low to go on their beds. Too bad, so sad. I don't use the laptop in the bedroom because I'm not paralyzed or bedridden. If you are either of those, you might need something heaftier. Hope the review helps somebody. Happy 4th of July America!

Purchased this desk in hopes that a treadmill would fit under it to walk and work at the same time. It is about 25 inches wide so treadmills under 25 in wide should fit. However, the InMotion Elliptical Trainer Gym Machine works just as well and is not as bulky or big as a treadmill. Just make sure you position the shelves strategically or place the elliptical back far enough so you don't hit your knees on the shelves. An added bonus is that this combo costs much less (just over $$ for both whereas with a treadmill desk you can spend well over a thousand). The desk height cannot be adjusted, but with the elliptical machine, not using the key board shelf, it is perfect for someone about 5'2" - 5'4"ish. You can also add stands like the Z-Lift Laptop Computer Desk Stand for your laptop if you need to adjust the height taller. As a standing desk only, it is fine for shorter folks if you use the keyboard tray, but it is a bit high if you don't and would work better for a taller person. You can use it in different ways to make the height work for you. The desktop is big enough for my laptop and a small (15") monitor. The desk is fairly easy for one person to put together. The hardest part are the wheels. I did not have enough strength to push them on. I had to really whack them to get them in place. So as not to crack the plastic, I used a rubber hammer and was careful about where I hit them. It worked. The shelves are adjustable. I only used 2 of them so far, but may add the other if it doesn't get in the way of the elliptical. If you use it as a treadmill with this desk, you will want to leave off the bottom shelf. The quality of the desk is also impressive especially for the price. On the sides and edges of the cherry desk there are stripes of a tannish color mixed with the cherry. The metal sides are covered with two black plastic pieces. It is a nice looking piece of furniture that is perfect for what I wanted.

Bottom Line: For people who need a lightweight, portable, very adjustable workstation that is constructed well, looks great, and is ergonomic. Adjustable Monitor: height, left-to-right swivel, tilt Adjustable Shelf: height, left-to-right swivel More Info: I needed a lightweight, ergonomic, flexible solution for my PC desk and didn't want to spend a thousand dollars on the well-known ergonomic brands. This desk fit the bill. For the price, it's a wonderful bang for the buck. All parts fit together snug. Everything is labeled correctly. Directions are clear. Everything feels solid and sturdy. Includes cord management clips and locking casters. Assembly is easy. I recommend using a 13mm socket wrench for tightening the monitor tilt nut rather than the included wrench. Much easier. I have an ergonomic keyboard and my mouse doesn't fit on the shelf, which is fine, because I have a separate, small table at the same height for my mouse. I can rotate my 23" monitor and the desk for film and video viewing with other people. The shelf top looks classy as does the whole unit. This would work well in an office or at home. Very nice welding and coating. No bumpy, cheaply welded joints. It is a small footprint and if you want your arms at an ergonomic 90-degree angle along with the ergonomic eyesight level for a 23" monitor, you will need a small, adjustable seat about 12 - 14" in height depending on your keyboard height. Also, go to the manufacturer's site and look up the desk. There are a lot of HD photos and a brochure explaining all the features of this desk.

I purchased this desk for my 9-year-old son. He doesn't have a computer, but uses this desk for Lego construction and play. The CPU shelf is the perfect width for small plastic storage drawers. And, the pull-out tray adds surface area for buidling. The table is a good height for him, and probably will be until he is grown (using an adjustable-height chair). It was easy to assemble with two people working together. The surface color/texture is hard to see on the web. It's black with a light gray speckle texture, giving it an overall charcoal gray color. I'd recommend this for any young person who wants to use it for Lego's, drawing, writing, or computing.

This product is exactly what I was looking for in a standing desk! Easy to assemble by myself in well under 30 minutes, including adjusting and leveling the height of the top desk surface. The dimensions on the website are very accurate. I have dual monitors and based on 29.5" width only had about half an inch of wiggle room to fit them both. Once I set them up...exactly half an inch to spare. The metal frame seems very solidly built and on wide feet so no noticeable wobble so far. I'm not worried about having those two monitors sitting so high off the ground thanks to the sturdiness of the unit. Aesthetically great as well! The cherry is a good shade, and the edges are well finished with an almost pin-striped look to them. A very high-quality and professional looking desk for the price. I would be happy to pay retail on this one, but Overstock drops it down to less-than-IKEA prices and this desk looks better and will out-perform anything that you could find in that particular store. The only downside is that the bottom two shelves are held on with an adhesive tape instead of screws. BIG design flaw in my mind, and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Fortunately I don't actually need to put anything of value on either of those shelves, but I wouldn't trust it with a computer or heavy printer. The adhesive seems extremely strong, but will inevitably decrease in holding power with time. I also know myself, and will at some point forget and try to lift the desk by one of those shelves. Hopefully the adhesive holds so I don't shatter one of the casters, or my floor, or my foot! PROS: Nearly everything--value, professional/quality look, sturdy metal construction CONS: Adhesive shelves, keyboard tray is a bit stiff.

I've been interested in the idea of a walking desk. However, before spending tons of money on one of the fancy setups, I thought I might just try a standing desk to see how it goes. The package was delivered very quickly. One of the "toes" on the base of the workstation was damaged in shipping. I called Safco and dealt with a very nice person on the phone who told me they would ship the part out immediately. I went ahead and put the workstation together to start using it while I wait for that replacement. It went together pretty easily. I did have to have my husband help me with the final steps because it's easier to get the height correct while one person holds the top platform and the other person tightens the screws. If you want a work station you can adjust on the fly, this isn't it. If you want to set the height and leave it, then this is a good choice. It's very sturdy. No wobbles while typing. I have a large laptop on it. Not sure how it would be with a big computer or monitor. The storage shelves are just held in place with adhesive strips and compression from tightening the screws on the support bars. I worried about this when I was putting it together; but, seems just fine even loaded up with all my software disks.

the best price on this item on the web. the product was described perfectly, delivered as advertised, and does exactly what it should. this is an item purchased by a teacher for their use in their classroom, so functionality and price were serious considerations. overstock.com came through once again!! thanks

when I tried to put this together, I found one of the welded pieces to have been welded unevenly, making it impossible to have all 4 wheels on the ground at once. I called the company that made the cart and they sent a replacement piece right away. no problems putting it together; works great in our office
