  Nice heavy desk....but would not recommend because it was very difficult to assemble.

  Excellent desk. Solid construction. Wife every happy with it. Really a step up from the ikea stuff we've had for years. This is desk is more expensive of course, but worth it. Takes two to build - the top is HEAVY. The shipping company in Seattle was also excellent with the two separate orders they handled for Overstock. Plenty of notice, timely delivery and really nice drivers.

  Bought this stand almost 2 years ago, use it every day, and love it. My laptop is a monster -- 18.4" screen -- and heavy, but it fits the stand perfectly and the stand holds it sturdily with no problem.

  I saw a good review for this product so I purchased it. Don't trust all "good" reviews. It continuously loosens at the base. I have to continuously tighten it. One day, without any warning, it broke into pieces! A spring bounced out from God-knows-where, hit me in my face, while my laptop speaker slid off the stand. I was able to grab my laptop by the power cord, but the cord popped out, so my laptop ended up falling onto the floor anyway. What saved my laptop was the speaker it landed on. Unfortunately, this busted the speaker, so now I need a new speaker. I was able to reassemble the table, but I'm terrified of it. Never know when it may decide to collapse again.

  I found this desk on Overstock and I knew that's the one I wanted to go with at the office. It has the same wood coloring as the doors and the framework and I sized it up so that it would fit within the dimentions of the office + a bit of movement space. Making the purchase was easy peasy. Shipment said it was going to take a max of 6 weeks, but it came in 2 weeks or so which was fast. Was in 3 long HEAVY packages. Some damage to the undersides of the desk during shipping; the plywood had a BIG chunk taken out, but nobody's going to see the underside. I think they could have improved a bit on the packaging material since it was plastic wrapped, with some cardboard blocks to keep things from shifing and then the cardboard outside. Only thing is, with improved packaging is increased pricing. Understandable. Building and installing the desk, I took the challenge (which I don't recommend) of building it halfway by myself which took me a good 1.11 days or so to get half way. All ...
