thejones from Portland, OR, Rating:3.0I work on a computer for 10hrs a day, and currently don't have a desk, so I needed a substitute that wouldn't break my bank. This is a sturdy, surface that actually feels nice, and doesn't hurt after a day of working on it. A different material for the micro-bead pillow other than Styrofoam would be nice. The beads coupled with the 100% polyester pillow does make for a warm situation, but it isn't the same heat you get from having a computer right on your lap. The pillow itself has a nice brushed Nubuck feel. What I don't get is why the product description says: "Mat features a soft leatherette finish and removable micro-bead pillow" My pillow is NOT removable. It is clearly factory sewn to the leatherette table. Is this different in others? There's also the weird glue-sticky edges which is typical of this sort of overstock product. It cost about $25 bucks, and it's worth about $20-$25 bucks.

fenwayfem from former New Yorker, now a West Virginian, Rating:5.0This is a simple, very attractive, excellent quality lap desk. The size is adequate to perch a mouse, if necessary. the memory foam is encased in a pretty cover; i chose the crimson red. The top is made of a sturdy, NON-SLIP shiny black plastic. It is attractive and VERY comfortable. I LOVE it

keepinwarminmn from Ft Lauderdale, FL, Rating:1.0I received this as a gift and could not be more disappointed. The top piece is a shiny flimsy piece of plastic that flexes when it shouldn't. The surface is so slippery that my laptop keeps sliding off of the "desk". Once it fell all the way to the floor with a crash. The "pocket" that's shown is so narrow there's no way something like reading glasses will stay in it. The memory foam base is a nice concept - the top is just such low quality it ruins the whole piece. I would definitely not recommend this.

sunnyhills from Colorado, northern, Rating:5.0I purchase these for my office/computer usage. Everyone loves them because they conform to your wrist and your pressure, alleviating tendon pain. If you work more than 5 hrs a day on a computer, get these.
