Boss Heavy-duty Big and Tall Desk Chair

When the description said 'big', they weren't kidding. We have big guys well over 6 feet tall using this desk chair. Eventually, the tilt mechanisms always break. This chair seems much more sturdy than our others. The microfiber fabric looks fine. If your looking for a formal look, this is not the chair for you. The bar across the back is just plain ugly. I'm going to remove it and spray paint it black so it is not so noticeable. In all, I will be happy to see people leaning back in this chair and know that it won't break.

Decent quality chair for the cost (***). Solid enough build. No frills. Comfortable seating, good dense comfortable foam, we'll see how it stands up after a year. Assembled the chair solo, but be sure you have a good screwdriver to help with the work. A second person will make things go faster. Instructions are very basic, but serviceable. Chair has a horrible smell (out-gassing new foam materials), which hopefully will fade quickly. The micro-suede material is a nice change from cold hard leather, does collect dust, pet hair, etc. quickly though. Sturdy base, doesn't feel like it will tip over easily (not that I'm going to try it). This chair came recommended from a friend and I would recommend it to someone else looking for a chair in this price range. Time will tell how well this chair stands up to typical office use, usually the first thing to go is the air shock. Note neither the armrests nor the back support are adjustable in any way on this chair. No specific lumbar adjustments either.

I wouldn't purchase this chair again or recommend it to anyone. This Boss product is made very cheaply. Just because Boss is a US company does not mean they are selling quality products. All B.S., as here I sit in a discount house cheap chair. I should have known better, this time Boss fault, next time my fault. Want a good chair, don't go to the Boss.

This is one solid chair. I'm a 325lb guy...and the seat is very stiff. I really wanted to like this chair, but, the tilt mechanism is locked shut even with the lock hanle in the unlocked position and the tension fully loosened. Can't have that! I like to be able to tilt back every now and then. It's a TANK! Perhaps you'll get one where the tilt mechanism works as it should. I would order a replacement if I knew the mechanism would work. But, I saw that was an issue with a couple of the other reviews I read. I'm going to ship this one back!
