I ordered this desk knowing it had no shelves or hutch. I had several wall units already, and wanted a desk that would be massive and attractive to fill up a large office upon my home's entrance. The desk came in several boxes within a week! My husband put it together, the drawer/file box can go wherever you want. There is plenty of space under the unit to hide low shelving. I love it! It has accomplished what I intended. This one is not cherry, but a darker wood color. It shows prints quite readily, but windex can take care of that. The finish looks and is very durable.

The table is excellent. It is large, so always make sure you measure up your room. I have a couch in my new office for my wife to hang out on too, but at one point I was worried that it was all going to fit. However, I measured out the room, and drew a floor plan and the couch fits perfectly.The workmanship of the table is excellent. I am sure it is easy to put together, but I went with the White Gloves service that Overstock offers and I am pleased to say that the delivery guys set it up for me exactly the way I wanted it with ease.The grommets (wire management) hole are quite large, with covers that rotate and slide open (although the holes in the plastic covers are small - for 2 or 3 wires only). I pulled out the covers so that I could accommodate many wires.The bow front part of the desk is beautifully made, and has room underneath the front of it for some-one to sit - although if you plan to put chairs there you will need at least 3 or 4 feet extra space.All in all a very good for value purchase. Other places sometimes charge a delivery fee of over $100.

Bought this workstation for our new home office. Very professional looking. Durable product with ample work surface. Locking file cabinet. Easy to clean with damp cloth. This will last for years! I would highly recommend this product for either home or business offices. When buying for a home office, be sure to measure. You will need about 3 additional feet if you want to put chairs in front of the desk. Exceptional value for this workstation.

very poor construction. no draws.. desk comapare. if the disciption of the product was better i would have never purchased the unit, i would have choose somthing else
