The quality of the chair is excellent. It is very sturdy wood. Looks exactly like the picture. Took about 30 minutes to assemble. Very clear instructions.

The good news, this chair is a sturdy desk chair that has good rollers and a good lift mechanism. It also is strong when it is put together and has a great classic look. The bad news is it is engineered in a complicated way for assembly purposes--and the instructions are pretty confusing. A few extra parts (washers) turned up after we were done, and we couldn't identify where they could have been left off. Also some of the pre-drilled holes didn't match up as easily as other furniture we have assembled. This makes it a little harder to put together than it probably needs to be. Also, just a note that we ordered the "fruitwood" and it is really an orangey fruitwood in my opinion. It is still good looking but a brighter tone than I had hoped. But if you are looking for a very strong and functional desk chair (that isn't metal), once you've got it together you'll probably not care how long it took you.

Overall, a nice-looking, comfy desk chair! It seems very sturdy and is nicely-sized - big enough to really get comfortable on if you're someone who likes to sit every which way, but not a huge clunker that is going to take over the room if you've got a small space.
My only real complaint is with the screw hole covers that come with the chair. They're plastic, at least for the white chair that I ordered, and look pretty cheap on this chair that otherwise resembles a piece you'd pay much more for. They were also extremely difficult to insert. I ended up using a utility knife to shave the ridges on them down, which made things a little easier, but I still had to use a cloth and the flat butt of a screwdriver to bang them in. (I don't have a rubber mallet and didn't want to buy one just to assemble this chair.) I got them as flush as I could before finally giving up, but they're not perfect.

I was surprised by the quality and workmanship of this product. The color was a little lighter than I expected but it worked fine for my needs. Very solid and great look!
