I was looking for a desk chair that would be comfortable sitting for a long time as I teach online courses from my desk. This chair provides good comfort for the price. It's not as soft as some others, but I am hoping that it will last a little longer as a result. I would like it to be able to tilt back a little more than it does, and it would be nice to be able to lock it in the upright position, but those are minor issues. It was quite a bit less than other similar chairs and seems just as comfortable as those that I was able to try out.
This is a great chair. My only wish is that it rocked back a little further than it does.
I'm not a professional at critiquing chairs or anything, but I really like it. After years of hand me downs and other used desk chairs I've only purchased one other computer chair. The older chair was a different brand that I paid about the same money for about 5 or 6 years ago. After those 5 or 6 years of service some metal supports broke (I probably should have tightened the screws every once in a while). This new chair is 10 times more comfortable. It doesn't have the same rocking ability (just a few inches now) but the overall construction and comfort seems better. I've had it for about a month and if I needed another chair, (which I don't), I would definitely buy another one of these chairs. It's quite awesome.
The plastic chair arm is broken. It was embarrassing to have the gift opened on Christmas day and find that it was useless. Having to return the very large package to the nearest UPS store is a drag and an inconvenience. I very much appreciate that Overstock.com is sending me a postage free return label to use. I will utilize Overstock.com again, but not for such large purchases due to the inconvenience of the return.
