Customer Reviews
For all of the people who posted that they were disappointed that the chair did not tilt or recline, reach down to the handle on the right side and pull it out away from the chair. Sliding that handle locks and unlocks the tilt function. It took me a while to figure that out, but it is written on that handle (black on black) Now that I have it adjusted, I love the chair! Thank goodness the arms were attached. This made assembly much easier than it would have been. Great value, incredibly comfortable, just what I wanted!!!
I was not pleased with two (2) important features. (1) I found the seating cushion too hard. If I have to spend extended periods of time in the chair at my computer, I find that I have to bring a pillow to sit on. (2) I was disappointed to find that the chair would not tilt from front to back, nor back to front. My previous chair had no problems with either of the above items. Lesson learned; like buying clothes, try them out before you buy.
The chair was easy to assemble, looks good and seems sturdy. If the back reclined it would have been perfect.
As others have said, the chair is beautiful and looks far more expensive than it is. It is a bit firm if you are expecting cushy, but I find the chair to be supportive and not at all uncomfortable. Assembly is a little tricky because of the weight of the chair, but I was able to do it myself. The hydraulic aspect does work, you just need to know how it operates. I would get another one without hesitation.
I searched around for a desk chair for some time and was reluctant to spend $200 on one and I came across this chair. This had the look that I was aiming for at about half the price. I chose the Oak color. It delivered fairly quickly in a few days and the assembly wasn't too difficult (15 minutes). The color was a shade darker but I anticipated that for the oak isn't that light as depicted. I did have a crack in the wooden arm of the chair but I called the manufacturer and the replacement came in about 5 days without any questions. It is not that comfortable but is a large chair and quite roomy. A big man can sit on the chair without any problems. The previous review is correct about it not being a true 'high back," I'm 5'3" and the top of the chair end at my neck. Overall the price is nice with great looks but as for the comfort and support is lacking.
