My husband and I own a manufacturing company and we have pruchased several of these drafting chairs. They are very comfortable, easy to assemble, look great and the price at Overstock.com beats any retail store price. We will definitely buy more as the need arises.
I got an email advising my chair was shipped two days after I ordered it and much to my surprise, the chair was delivered that very day! Great product, great price. Would definitely shop again from Overstock.
The chair is great with the exception of one important thing: if you don't have a very strong and determined person (i.e., MAN) to help put it together you might not be able to. One of the bolts which have to be removed and then replaced (with the seat I believe) was pretty much stripped trying to remove it. I came VERY very close to returning the chair. My 190-lb. brother who is in very good athletic shape did all the assembly, and he got quite angry because of this bolt. It nearly didn't come together but now that it is, I like it quite a lot. I don't know if this is a fluke or typical.
It's put together very well and was a snap to assemble, looks good and holds up nicely. BOSS is a stellar chair manufacturer. BUT for me it's the MOST uncomfortable chair I have ever sat in (mine or others'). I'm 6'3" and the seat is too short and hits close to my buttocks and causes my legs to go to sleep in (literally) minutes. The foot rest is unbearably painful unless I'm wearing hard-soled shoes (and I don't in the house). I have to put a pillow over it to rest my feet. The seat cushion is also so firm that my butt cheeks get so sore that I can't sit in it for more than a half hour at a time. I was really looking forward to getting this chair but now am really disappointed in the results.
This chair came very quick, was here in about four days without any special posting. Looks nicer and feels great. The workmanship is better then I imaged it to be for the price. Stools like these can cost as much as $250.00 easily. The height is perfect. Putting it together took about five-ten minutes. I think it is a great deal for the price.
