My husband and I own a manufacturing company and we have pruchased several of these drafting chairs. They are very comfortable, easy to assemble, look great and the price at Overstock.com beats any retail store price. We will definitely buy more as the need arises.
It's put together very well and was a snap to assemble, looks good and holds up nicely. BOSS is a stellar chair manufacturer. BUT for me it's the MOST uncomfortable chair I have ever sat in (mine or others'). I'm 6'3" and the seat is too short and hits close to my buttocks and causes my legs to go to sleep in (literally) minutes. The foot rest is unbearably painful unless I'm wearing hard-soled shoes (and I don't in the house). I have to put a pillow over it to rest my feet. The seat cushion is also so firm that my butt cheeks get so sore that I can't sit in it for more than a half hour at a time. I was really looking forward to getting this chair but now am really disappointed in the results.
This chair came very quick, was here in about four days without any special posting. Looks nicer and feels great. The workmanship is better then I imaged it to be for the price. Stools like these can cost as much as $250.00 easily. The height is perfect. Putting it together took about five-ten minutes. I think it is a great deal for the price.
The height is perfect to work at my drafting table where I do my artwork. It is comfortable. Because of its height it is able to tip and is not as stable as an office chair. However I would purchase it again and recommend it as an economical drafting table work chair.
The chair came in only a few days. Super fast shipping. The only fault I have with it is the foot rest placement. You have to have very short legs, or have the height at the very top to be useful. I would suggest leaving it off. I would hope the manufacturer would redesign it with a bend to lower the placement of the foot rest.
