Bought these for my September wedding. They arrived well packaged and all in working order. Color was bright, material was thin but attached well to the frame of umbrella. It was torrential night before my wedding and we gave them out to guests to use to get to the rehearsal dinner -- they did the trick with full coverage and they stood up pretty well to high winds for the short period of time they were used. I wouldn't count on them for sleet or hail, or to use for extended periods of time in high winds, but for general rain they should work great. Also ordered the white color and found they were slightly higher quality than the red, for some reason. They felt a bit sturdier.

I ordered 40 of these umbrellas for SInging in the Rain and the actors broke 7 of them the first night by twirling them. The juncture where the mechanism is on the handle is a VERY weak point and could not handle the stress. They bent or broke off at that stress point.

Every person at our family Christmas celebration was able to take home a nice umbrella to use the rest of the year.

These umbrellas appear to be sturdy and as a bulk purchase this was a great value. The color is vibrant.
