Most cutting boatrds are too small, too light, and made for cutting one thing at a time. This thing is a monster. It is heavy, large, thick and made of quality wood. You can prepare a whole meal on it at once. For a serious cook...for any cook, this is a keeper. Be forewarned, the size and heft that makes it useful makes it is big and heavy. If yo are a petit or weak, you will want to leave it on one place.

This board is more than what I thought I was getting. I love it. It is thick and heavy and just beautiful. I am actually using it as the top of a moveable chop block. The board is made exceptionally well. I am thinking of buying more for Christmas gifts.

This isn't a cutting board that you're going to pull out of the cupboard to slice up a few vegetables. At 24x18x3" thick and approx 38 pounds, this cutting board has a permanent position on our food preparation island. We prepare home cooked meals everyday and this board receives daily use. Very attractive and quality craftsmanship. Remember to condition the board with Butch Block / Cutting Board oil before the first use.

This is a huge and heavy chopping block. It has fingerhold slits on the sides that are helpful if you have to move it. I suggest finding a spot on the counter and leave it there. The more I use it the more the "aged" look. Exactly what I wanted. I would buy this product again.
