I have used this cutting board maybe 10 times total and have never left it sitting in water, but is has already split down the middle. Would definitely not recommend this, you can get much better quality boards for the same price elsewhere.
I needed a replacement for one I bought 5 years ago. This time, I found it for nearly half the price on Overstock.
Most cutting boatrds are too small, too light, and made for cutting one thing at a time. This thing is a monster. It is heavy, large, thick and made of quality wood. You can prepare a whole meal on it at once. For a serious cook...for any cook, this is a keeper. Be forewarned, the size and heft that makes it useful makes it is big and heavy. If yo are a petit or weak, you will want to leave it on one place.
This board is more than what I thought I was getting. I love it. It is thick and heavy and just beautiful. I am actually using it as the top of a moveable chop block. The board is made exceptionally well. I am thinking of buying more for Christmas gifts.
Cutting board is think and well made. Came quickly. Just love overstock!
