Clean, modern, natural, but slate is delicate
These have a clean modern look, with a natural edge. They look great in the bamboo holder. The black slate contrasts nicely with the light bamboo. The problem with slate is that it will flake apart over time. These coasters will age and evolve. Due to the nature of slate, they are not likely to survive a large drop on a hard surface. The other possible problem is they don't have a lip around the edge, so if your drink is sweating a lot, it will probably drip over the edge. Overall, I am very pleased. They are exactly what I was looking for.

Great Product
Good coaster, but the edges are a little sharp. The felt underneath is also a little thin.

lives up to it's Thirstystone name
This is to be expected of slate, so if that natural process is not what you are looking for do not order. I think they are attractive and fit the rustic touches in my living room. They also are prone to water rings, but that washes off easily.
