  I have one large mat on the kitchen sink counter that absorbs the water of things that I wash but do not want to put into the dishwater. Keeps the counter perfectly dry. I even put one under my messy bichon's water bowl and it does the job keeping my wood floor dry..Very happy with these mats and I intend to use the little pads in my motor home to protect the surface of my pans and also to keep them from making noise as we go down the road..
