These BlockTile Ramp Edges with Loops are designed to work as a transition from concrete or other hard surfaces to BlockTile interlocking floor tiles. There are two types of ramp edges for BLOCKTILE loop-to-peg interlocking floor tiles: Ramp Edges with Loops and Ramp Edges without Loops. The names refer to the loops on the long side of the ramp edge. Because the tiles are modular in nature, you have the option to select either type of edge for your installation.

    • Looks great and keeps garage floor looking nice

Placed in our 2 car garage and it looks awesome. We put down roofing paper first and laid on top. I would recommend to cut down noise from the tiles hitting the concrete. This also gives a softer feel when walking. Be sure to leave the 1/4" around the edge as they do expand when the door is open and sun heats them up. Before laying we painted a dark brown all around the edge so give it more of a trimmed finish look due to the gap. We are still able to power wash our floor and the water does not pool. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice finish in their garage.

Received product for my daughters home, unfortunately if hasn't been installed yet . Purchased it for her screened in porch. Wd did put a few tiles together and it seemed very easy to snap in place. The only down side is it is very hard on the feet. I think a little more rubber and less hard plastic would make this product a best seller.

    • How do I know whether to get with loops or without loops? The pictures look just the same.

      • Hi operamike, there are 2 types of tiles “Ramp Edges with Loops” and “Ramp Edges NO Loops”. The names refer to the loops on the long side of the ramp edge. Because the tiles are modular in nature, you have the option to select either type of edge for your installation. There is no right or wrong decision. However, depending on how you start your installation and the type of room in which you are installing the interlocking floor tiles, you may want to consider selecting one vs. the other. Let me explain what we mean by that. Ramp Edge Selection in a Garage Flooring Installation If you are installing the interlocking floor in a garage, the answer depends on whether you begin the installation at the entrance of the garage or at the back. Option 1: Installation Starting at the Entrance of Garage - For installations that begin at the garage entrance, the Ramp Edges with Loops will be needed. This is because the floor tiles should be oriented so that the loops are pointing toward the back of the garage and the opposite corner from where you are beginning. By orienting the tiles toward the back of the garage and toward the opposite corner from where you are beginning the installation, you assure yourself that you will need ramp edges with loops. The added benefit of aligning the tiles this way is an easier installation. Remember, two sides of the tiles have loops and the other two sides do not. Option 2: Installation Starting at the Back of Garage - This option is not recommended unless your garage is a small one car garage. For installations that begin at a corner in the back of the garage, the floor tiles should be oriented with the loops pointing toward the garage entrance and the opposite corner from where you are beginning. Hence, you will need the Ramp Edges with NO Loops. I hope this helps, thanks for shopping with us.
