Bought this bag to use as my crew overnight bag, I am a pilot with the airlines. Replaced an older Samsonite hardside bag that finally gave out after years of great service. I usually have four, four day trip a month, yep, 16 days on the road out of 30.
So far I am happy with this bag, looks a bit small but it held everything that my old bag held. In silver it is a bit "flashy", my wife took a look at it and compared it to a discoball. You will have no trouble finding your bag in an overhead or on the baggage belt. We'll see how long the shine holds out. VERY light weight! Great dividers inside. Pull handle at good height. Wheels roll easy and quietly. Lays open flat w/o seeming to stress the hinge, nearly full length hinge.
Areas of concern are: the exterior additional bag attachment loop is on the front cover of the bag, my flight bag weighs in the neighborhood of 40 lbs and I felt this was too much to hang off the latches and hinge constantly so I went to the hardware store and found a stainless steel hook to mount on the back half of the bag, reinforced with a plate on the inside, zip open lining makes this easy and hidden.
The roller wheels are not inline skate wheels and are a smaller diameter so I don't know if skate wheels will fit but it would be nice if they were so they could be easily changed out when worn or noisy.
The retractable pull handle takes up alot of room inside the bag, seems to be a common complaint with ZH bags but with careful packing around the handles and in the "tunnels" beside them it works OK.
