This is a great little bag for traveling. It's got a variety of safety features that make it ideal for when you're out of your element, including a clasp on the zipper of the main pocket, cut-proof fabric, a comfortable over-the-shoulder fit, and a hasp on the shoulder strap that can be unlocked and relocked to secure your purse to a chair. It's even got a mini flashlight snapped to the interior of the purse. It's got two zipper pockets on the exterior where you can keep things you need to get at faster, although the exterior pockets do not clasp shut the way the larger interior pocket does. There is a velcro pocket near the shoulder strap that is the perfect size and shape for storing a cell phone. This purse is not as big as it first appears due to the size of the pockets, so it's more ideal for the traveling purse it is designed to be than for an everyday purse. Mileage might vary on that, but I personally like a slightly bigger purse than this for everyday purposes. I am also happy to report that this purse is machine washable and comes out of the wash looking quite fine. I have the grey one and the fabric looks woven and has a bit of a shine to it. This is by no means a fashion purse, but as a utilitarian purse it is very functional.
