I bought this suitcase because I wanted something durable that is also easily identifiable. The good news is that (1) It looks great, (2) It easily fits into overhead compartments, and (3) It is so light, that I didn't have to strain to lift it over my head.So far, I've only taken it on one trip, and it wasn't touched by any baggage handlers. Consequently, I feel as though I cannot vouch for its durability. I do, however, have one complaint: It doesn't have the outside pockets that the canvas suitcases tend to have. Normally, I use that section for hat/gloves in winter and for my liquids so that they're easily accessible at the security checks. It's not a dealbreaker, though, b/c I can still store that stuff in my messenger bag.Overall, I'm pretty happy with my purchase.
I had purchased a set of this luggage at another vendor, and I am extremely happy with it - it is truly lightweight but durable, the diamond-like pattern of the finish helps hide minor scuffs, and the zippered separator makes it easy to pack and close. Overstock's coup is that they are the only vendor who is selling individual pieces!
