So I have had this bag for a couple months now. I've taken it on a couple trips now. It hasn't fallen apart so it has that going for it. The problem is that it stinks. I saw similar complaints before I bought it, but thought those people must just be sensitive. I'm not sensitive and can confirm that it has a strange odor. Call it plasticy, or chemically, I don't know....I just stinks. When I use it to travel I load the thing with downy pads, but the super stink still sticks to the clothes. I have spayed it numerous times with fabreeze and other unstinkafiers, but with no success. Two months later, it still stinks. So it functions just fine as a bag, but I recommend going another direction. If you want this bag as a science experiment to see how long it can holdup to destinkifying assault, be my guest.Read More
I ordered one of these bags and it appeared perfect. Held the right amount of clothes, I could manage the size, nice looking. Unfortunately, before trying out the carry-on, I ordered a second one. What I learned is that if you fill the suitcase (and especially if you use the extra zip-out space), the suitcase will not stand up. There are no real front feet and the bag just falls forward. We tried repacking the bag but it still fell over with the extra zip-out space closed. At the airport, my husband's case fell over, then he tripped over the case. When we got to our destination, we dumped both bags and bought ones that stand up! Terrible purchase.Read More
I travel a lot for work and hate paying the $25 checked bag fee. I purchased this piece for overnight/short trips and it is great. It fits all of my stuff perfectly and has 2 slots for shoes on the inside. It is definitely not a super high quality bag but it was ***...you can't beat that. This bag fits perfectly in the overhead bins. A few others commented on the packaging smell...it was a bit strong so I aired it out on my back porch for 1 night and the smell was gone. I would definitely recommend.Read More
I used my new carry on a week ago and for the money you can't go wrong. For the size it held a substantial amount of clothes and with the expansion feature holds even more. I got the red (which is really maroon) . As other reviewers stated, it rolls really well. I had an old carry on that was a little bigger and I always had a problem getting it into the overhead. This size is perfect.Read More
Love my carryon luggage - especially the expandable zipper which gives you more room to pack...this will be best for my travel as I do not like to check any bags. I would recommend the bag as the outside pockets comply exactly with the zip lock bag sizes airlines allow for 3 oz. liquids. Also - the color red is mixed in a tweed with the black and looks cranberry - goes with my large tote - feminine but businesslike.Read More
Like the bag. Fits nice in overhead compartment. The only thing that would be nice would be legs to keep it stable on flat ground. It does tend to tip. Good colors and works well on business trips for me. Didn't notice any odor as previous posts mentioned. Would recommend.Read More
I purchased this suitcase back in 2011. I travel a fair amount for both business and pleasure. This suitcase has traveled to multiple countries and many states and has served me very well. It is lighter weight than some of the other 21-inch bags that I have shopped for, which is a nice bonus. I just purchased a replacement bag, as the airline irreparably damaged my original bag last week. I was thrilled to be able to purchase the same color again, since I own the 25 inch version of this bag as well and I appreciate having a matched set. I had to gate check my bag due to flying a commuter jet and when I got home I found that they had ripped the fabric around the large front pocket. I don't blame the quality of the bag at all. I blame the people who carelessly handled it when taking it off the plane.Read More
This is a perfect carry on. It fits well into the airplane overhead bins without squeezing or crushing anything else. It has an attractive appearance and looks like it is strong enough to survive many trips. It holds enough to get one by for a few days. This is an economical choice over some of the better known brands.Read More
Can't wait to use this on my next trip. Had to replace a bag that a friend used and returned damaged. Hope this one last as long.Read More
I purchase this carry on piece of luggage for my husband to match his existing large piece. It is so durable and very easy to handle holds a lot of clothing especially for a weekend trip we just taken. I'm thinking about ordering another size same collection for him.Read More

How to Choose Carry-on Luggage
People who travel frequently know that carry-on luggage is the fastest way to get in and out of an airport, bus or train station. Carrying your own luggage means you don't have to wait for your checked luggage to be brought to you. Most travelers take at least one piece of carry-on luggage on every trip so they'll have the necessities in the event that their checked luggage is lost or stolen. Others travel with only carry-on luggage so they can avoid the hassle and, sometimes, the expense of checked luggage. Read on to learn how to choose carry-on luggage.
7 Reasons to Travel with One Bag
The next time you travel, rather than shoving nearly everything you own into ten pieces of luggage and hauling them around, try packing light. Not only will it help you keep costs down while flying, it will improve your physical well-being and make your trip far less stressful. Keep your mind and bags light by traveling with one piece of carry-on luggage on your next vacation. Look below for the seven reasons to travel with one bag.
Carry-on Luggage Restrictions
As airline regulations become more stringent, more people are packing lighter and using carry-on luggage. Knowing the restrictions for your airline will help you avoid additional checked baggage fees or problems on the plane. While every airline has its own rules, most luggage regulations are very similar. Before buying your new luggage, read about carry-on rules.
Benefits of Lightweight Luggage
When it's time to get new luggage and bags, consider lightweight luggage. When you are shopping for a luggage set or individual bags for your next trip, it's important to pay attention to the weight and size of the empty luggage. Luggage made with aluminum, plastic or fabric offers a number of benefits for both short and long trips. Lightweight luggage is specially designed to be lighter than standard luggage and reduce the strain and fatigue of carrying your luggage around while traveling. Sleek and compact styles can be stowed easily in an overhead cabin or under a car seat, while larger luggage sets can keep you organized during long business trips or vacations. Keep reading for more benefits of lightweight luggage.
How to Clean Leather Luggage
For travelers of all kinds, leather luggage is a terrific investment. From carry-on luggage to suitcases, leather ensures durable, beautiful baggage. People often fear cleaning leather luggage sets, but it's actually a simple process. Learning how to clean leather luggage is easy. Take a look below for some handy tips.
Hardside Luggage vs Softside Luggage
There are some very obvious differences between hardside luggage and softside luggage. But there are also a lot of more subtle differences, and knowing all the differences between the two types of luggage can help you find a luggage set that is right for you and makes your travels easier. Materials: Hardside luggage is usually made of aluminum or polycarbonates. They are chosen because they have a good strength-to-weight ratio. Softside luggage is made of a variety of materials, including vinyl, cotton, polyester, leather and other durable materials. These materials are chosen because they are lightweight, flexible and durable. Features: The features offered on softside and hardside luggage are nearly identical. They both often offer wheels and extendable handles for convenience when carrying the luggage. Inside, they can have an array of pockets for holding toiletries or preventing clothes from getting wrinkled. What can be different is that softside luggage typically has several pockets that are accessible without opening the suitcase. Also, softside luggage almost always uses zippers to hold it close, but hardside luggage will have some type of latch to secure it. Price: Many factors determine the cost of luggage; one of which is the materials it is made of, but features, size, brand and other factors play a part as well. Not all hard materials are the same and not all soft materials are the same, but on average, the initial cost of hardside luggage is going to be higher than the initial cost of comparable softside luggage. One thing to consider though is value. If you are a frequent flyer, the initial cost of hardside luggage might be offset by its longevity. Use: If you are someone who keeps their luggage close to them and will only take a carry-on with you, the lightweight, flexibility of softside luggage might be better for you. The rigid shape of a hardside case doesn't always conform to the shape of an overhead bin; however, if you like to check your bags, hardside luggage is less likely to be damaged when thrown around in the holding area and will keep its contents from getting crushed when another bag gets thrown on top of it. Bottom line: When it comes down to it, both softside luggage and hardside luggage do the same basic thing. But the choice is about you and what you want. Do you want something that is incredibly durable and will protect everything inside of it? Or would you rather have luggage that is more flexible and lightweight? How to Pack a Suitcase
If you don't know how, packing luggage can be a troubling ordeal -- especially if you have a lot of items. Fortunately, learning how to pack a suitcase just takes a little time and practice. The process is essentially the same whether you're packing your carry-on or a luggage set, so once you have the following steps down, you'll never fear this pre-travel ritual again.
Benefits of Using a Travel Backpack When Traveling
Travel backpacks offer a number of benefits for all types of travelers and may be an attractive alternative to larger tote bags, duffel bags and miniature suitcases. Whether you're traveling with a backpack over a long distance or traveling by plane with a small backpack as a carry-on, use a travel backpack designed with extra compartments and tight-fitting, portable style to ensure a comfortable travel experience. Easy to stow and store: The design of a travel backpack makes it easy to store it in overhead bins in a bus, train or airplane. The soft sides of a backpack let it conform to tight storage spaces. Many travel backpacks have compression straps that let you cinch the packs contents down to take up less space. Comfort: Travel backpacks put less strain on your body than most other kinds of luggage because their weight doesn't pull on one side of your body. Travel backpacks are designed to evenly distribute their load on your shoulders and hips, making them easy to carry for several hours. Thick straps with lots of padding make it even more comfortable. Keeps travelers organized: Many travel backpacks are designed with several compartments to store smaller items, such as water bottles, a cell phone, MP3 player, PDA, passport and subway tokens. This makes it easier to stay organized while traveling, ensuring that all your basic items and accessories are within easy reach. Easy to move around: Probably the biggest benefit of using a travel backpack is the ease of movement it provides. You don't have to worry about dragging a rolling suitcase up a flight of stairs. A travel backpack is also easier to maneuver through a crowd of people than most other types of luggage. Protects items from the elements: Many travel backpacks are made with water-resistant and waterproof fabrics that protect your valuables no matter what the weather forecast may look like. Travel backpacks made with polywick fabric, ballistic nylon and other weatherproofing materials are especially beneficial for travelers who will be outdoors for most of their trip. Business Case Buying Guide
The way you choose to carry your work speaks volumes about you professionally. A good business case can make all the difference in the respect shown to you by the colleagues in your business organization. It makes sense, too; your choice of briefcase or laptop bag shows the level of business concern you have for your work. Of course, the admiration of your co-workers isn't the only benefit provided by a great business case. The right briefcase can also help you stay organized and may even add an underlying dash of style to your work life. Picking the right bag requires a number of considerations, but it doesn't have to be complicated. Save the hard work for when you're on the clock: finding a perfect travel bag, laptop bag or luggage shouldn't be a confusing mess of frustration. To simplify the task of finding a good bag for your needs, break it down. You will want to consider several attributes for your new business case or travel bag, including how you will be using it, the sort of shell that best suits you, your preferred material and the carrying style that will fit your work.
FAQs about Business Cases
The right business case helps you get the job done. Whether you are toting important papers on the train or carrying your laptop through an airport, a business case needs to be stylish, functional and durable. You have many options when shopping for business cases, briefcases and laptop bags. Some bags are made of handsome leather, while other pieces of luggage are made from durable nylon. To find the best luggage for your business essentials, consider these common questions and then compare laptop cases, briefcases and other functional bags.
Best Travel Cases for Tablets
Tablets are the hottest new electronics right now. Their slim shape and portable style make them ideal for both business and play. Whether you're toting your tablet to a business meeting or bringing it to class to take notes, make sure it stays protected while you travel with a tablet case. Although you can easily slip a small tablet into a case designed for laptops, using a streamlined piece of luggage made especially for tablets will make your carry-on lighter and easier to fit into small spaces.
Wheeled Backpacks vs Travel Bags
Most airlines allow flyers to bring a purse or backpack onto the plane in addition to their carry-on luggage. Wheeled backpacks are increasingly popular due to their large storage capacity and ease of transport. Others prefer smaller, convenient travel bags for their lightweight designs and easy access. Although both are excellent choices, they offer slightly different features to travelers. Before you choose whether wheeled backpacks or travel bags are best for you, consider their differences to make sure you pick the right one to fit your travel habits.
How to Pack for a Flight
With fees being charged by almost every airline for checked luggage, packing everything you need in fewer suitcases is not only convenient, but it also saves a lot of money. Planning and packing your luggage ahead of time can save you a lot of stress and make your trip much more enjoyable by not having to carry several heavy suitcases around.
