Good Choice
I bought this tote specifically for a trip to France which involved travel to several cities. I carried my netbook, eReader, cell, and the other usual suspects, and all items fit nicely in the designated pockets. Organization was easy and nothing got lost in the bottom. The leather is nice quality and held up well as I lugged the tote aboard trains and coaches. The back side is a durable fabric with a pocket that unzips at the bottom for sliding over a luggage handle--this function works very well. Towards the end of the trip, this tote was crowded with additional items deemed too fragile for luggage and it held everything securely. The zippers are sturdy. The handles are hinged so they fall neatly to each side. A couple of threads of stitching in one handle have become loose in one little spot, but nothing serious (at this point). The handles fit comfortably over the shoulder and do not slip around once you're on the move. As mentioned by others, the handles are a little long for carrying the tote at arm's length (touches the ground) so I found myself having to hold it up occasionally (which is tiring when it's loaded with electronics). It endured some light rain on occasion, and you'd never know it. All in all, I was very pleased with the functionality and appearance--after three weeks of traveling, it still looks brand new.

This is a Nice Bag, but back is FABRIC NOT LEATHER
PROS: This is a really nice bag, it has many compartments and a separate laptop compartment. Great saturated Brown Color, nice leather, good quality. CONS: WILL NOT fit a 17" Laptop, the back of the bag is FABRIC, NOT LEATHER ALL Around.

Fairly Satisfied Overall
Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the bag. I had to replace my previous briefcase, which I'd had for years because I received a new oversized laptop for work. Even finding an attractive bag for a larger laptop was a chore. But, this one works pretty well. The laptop is still just a touch to large, ie it fits completely in the bag but I cannot zip it. That only ends up as a concern in the rain. However, the straps position the top of the bag right under my arm, so everything is still protected. The internal pockets make very convenient storage for cords, phone, all the "stuff" one needs. The additional front pocket with organizers is great for extra storage as well. Once the laptop is in the bag, there isn't a ton of room for additional materials, but there is enough. Also, the straps on the bag are just short enough that it is awkward to lift it onto my shoulder with one hand, but not impossible.

Solo Women's laptop tote
My laptop measures 14 3/4" wide and it sticks out about 1" from the top of the cushioned part. It's not a big deal to me. The tote zips so it seems protected enough. Even with my mouse and cords there was still lots of room for more things. I'm 5'2" so it is a little long for me and drags sometimes on the ground. I very pleased with the quality. Glad I bought it.

Beautiful bag. Well made and stylish.
If your looking for a laptop "suitcase" this isn't it. It holds an adequate amount, but not a ton. I have a huge laptop that it does accomodate along with all it's accessories (mouse, chords, power cords,etc.) plus some files/binders and a leather portfolio. THis is a good every day transporting bag. It's good for travel because it can be carried over your shoulder. It definitley doesn't look like an ugly laptop bag. The leather is soft and beautiful. The back of the bag is a heavy, sturdy nylon, and has the opening so it can be slipped over a telescopic suitcase handle. As far as style and looks, this bag gets an A+. It stands out in a crowd and looks MUCH more expensive than it is. You will not look like one of the boys carrying this bag. It's got a chic and slender look. Since the laptop is stored vertically, instead of horizontally like most bags, you have to look twice to realize that it's a laptop bag and not just a really nice bag. I love it and would recommend it to anyone that isn't looking for a pack mule of a bag. Besides, who wants to lug that much stuff around anyhow? Go for it. You will not be disappointed in the quality or style at all.

This is a fantastic bag!
I have owned many expensive bags, and find this one to be far better than all I have purchased in the past. I find the vertical bag to be a much nicer fit to me than the horizontal bags. It is very roomy and durable. I would highly recommend this bag for purchase. Also, the price is GREAT!

Great work bag for women
I bought this a year ago and just love it. I travel a lot and carry a laptop every day for work. The vertical bag is by far the most comfortable I've had. The bag has plenty of room for my laptop (14 inches) Nook, cell phone & chargers, etc. I can also fine some personal items. The back of the bag , which goes against your body is nylon, which is fine. It has a strap (or pocket) which unzips and slides right onto the retractable handle of a suitcase, perfect for business travel. I will buy another when this wears out. I just wish it came in black.
