I just bought this to replace a hardside case that was sadly crushed in flight, and I have not used it yet. I chose it to be more flexible than the the hardsided one I got from Overstock, and the construction seems very sturdy. The Samsonite name went a long way toward my decision to buy this one. It is more pink than real crimson, if that matters to anyone; for me it will help identify it at the carousel.
