  • Disappointed in Weak material

I was disappointed in the product since the materials ripped in 3 places ON THE VERY FIRST FLIGHT that i took it on. If Delta baggage handling can rip 3 holes in it, then the other airlines were bound to destroy it. As a carry on, it was very light. But it cannot go thru normal baggage handling when it is full. I exchanged it for another VERY tough *** bag made out of stronger material and just as light as this one. If you're looking for a very light carry-on, then get it. If your going to use it as real luggage and send it thru as baggage, then expect it to be destroyed.

  • Seems pretty sturdy!

I bought this specifically for an annual camping trip that involves me dragging all my gear from one pick up spot to another. When I dragged the duffel down a dirt road, it was a little tippy; sometimes it would literally flip over. I cant blame the bag on that, I was asking a lot from it at that point. Otherwise the bag performed well, looks nice ( in red), rolled well on a smooth surface, and was roomy enough for clothes, tiny sleeping bag, inflatable mattress, clothes and bathroom gear. The only improvements I would ask for are more internal, or external pockets.

  • Just what we needed!

Needed a rolling duffel that was durable for those just in case moments. Daughter refused to use for her trip to Brazil because of color and logo (apparently only black will do) but her sister overstuffed it and took to college!

  • drop-bottom duffel

I'd bought some time ago a drop-bottom duffel, and found this design very useful because you can separate shoes and items that you'll only use at your destination in the bottom compartment. However, this was a 22" duffel which, given the amount it's possible to get into a duffel - far more than in even a flexible-side suitcase, I found it too big, and also because of its cheap construction it had begun to split. So, I was looking for a 21" or even a 20". It was a difficult search because the smaller sizes are much harder to find and I was picky, too, because I wanted a duffel that would stand stably on its end and I also wanted a couple of outside pockets for passport, liquids and gels, a book, etc. Well, I found, through J World, this Eddie Bauer which is just perfect. I've done a practice pack and it swallows shoes and slippers, two pairs of pants, two sweaters and a heavy cardigan, four shirts , toiletries, underwear, with room to spare, which is where the handy cinch straps come i...
