Piel Leather U-zip Denim Backpack

I ordered this specifically because it was leather and a backpack, as I wanted to wear it as a backpack and not wear like a regular purse. I liked the blue color on the screen, but product was a little darker in person. This wasn't the problem. My first problem is that the box that it was shipped in looked like it went through a war or was drop-kicked, busted open and then re-taped pretty sloppily. I thought, ok, at least it's not fragile so I opened it. The purse was pretty cool looking if you like the look of denim but want the feel and durability of leather. It was different. Side pocket has a magnetic clip to close so wasn't crazy about that and not sure if the original description stated that. That wasn't a big deal, as the inside was roomy enough and had a zipper compartment, which is nice and the overall design makes it look like your valuables would be secure. My biggest problem was that the 2 straps that would normally slide over both shoulders were held together by a long, leather cover so it encased the 2 straps. It isn't something you can remove, as it is sewn together so it completely defeats the purpose of what I wanted. I wanted to carry a nice, leather purse like a backpack. Perhaps there is a way to slide it down, but the covering is pretty long so it limits the available room to slide your arms through and I don't have the time or patience to try to figure out how to make it work like I want. If you like the look of denim, the feel of leather and a backpack style that you plan on only wearing on 1 shoulder, great. Otherwise, find something else that doesn't look so complicated to figure out how to wear.
