I am considering this 30" bag for my children for summer camp. They will be at camp for 1 week (needing a towel, pillow, tennies, swim suit, clothes - shorts, jeans, jacket, etc). Is this a good size for summer camp? The 21" says it's good for flights for carry-on, but I fear it would be too small for packing for a week of summer camp? Thanks.

Good price, but should be rated for 30 lbs and under. I bought 2 of them for a 2 week trip to Italy. One for me and one for my daughter. My daughter put 25lbs of stuff in it and it worked fine. My bag had 45lbs and barely lasted the trip. Bottom zipper broke on the first day, it was still usable but cumbersome getting into bottom compartment. After 10 days, the bottom support rail broke and make it real difficult to pull. My suggestion is if you need a bag and will have less than 30 lbs in it and not going on a 2 weeks trip, it is a great deal. If you are going on a 2 week trip to Europe with 30 plus lbs and using it in trains, cars and pulling it around cities. Spend the money and get something that will hold up.Read More
I decided to forgo the typical luggage when we headed into the Banff and Glacier National Parks. Glad I did and glad we had these jumbo rolling duffels. Really good wheels and handle. Sturdy zippers. The bag looked good enough to take on a cruise the following year and is big enough to hold a complete week of clothes in them and souvenirs in it.Read More
I purchased two duffles for a recent cruise. I particulary liked the separate compartment at the bottom of the bag. It was a good place to pack shoes or other items you may want separated out from clothes. Even though they were packed full, we did not exceed the 50 lb weigh limit for the flight. The only issue we had is with the bungy type straps across the top. Unfortunately, that feature did not survive the flight. The duffles were very easy to maneuver with the handles and wheels, despite being heavy. I don't know if the quality is of a level that will hold up well over time, especially if you fly often, but for our 1 - 2 trips a year, I think they will work just fine.Read More

Purchased this bag for a six week trip. I was able to take everything I needed for my trip, including four pairs of shoes, toiletries, towels, jeans, blouses, pajamas. Everything was packed without having to jam and push clothing to get it all into the bag. Bag is very easy to roll about from one place to the other. I recommend.Read More
I bought this for Disney World. It worked great. Does not keep my clothes neat and folded throughout the journey, but everything is in there...I just have to find it. It holds a lot, but when full, the zipper worries me. The zipper seams stretch like they might break, but thankfully they did not. Zipper construction looks cheap, so watch how much stuff you put in there. Meets airport size and weight requirements even when packed to the max. Price is amazing also. Thanks Overstock.Read More
Not great quality. If you are looking for a "work horse" rolling duffel, this is NOT the bag for you. It will probably be ok with light use but I am already struggling with the zippers because the fabric is so thin and flimsy that it makes the zippers hard to use. Would not buy again.Read More
I was very pleased with the quality and price I gave these to my grandaughters and they seemed to be very happy with them.Read More

I don''t think all of that would fit in this bag. The pillow, coat, and towel would take up a lot of room.

What to Pack for Africa's Highest Peak
Imagine that you are planning a trip that will take you from the equator to Antarctica in seven days. Now imagine that you have to limit the amount of gear you pack to 35 pounds or less. The task is getting more complicated. What kind of luggage would you choose and how would you pack for a trip that encompasses such extreme changes in climate and altitude? When Erica Davis, a paraplegic athlete, and Tara Butcher, a physically challenged athlete, climb Africa's highest peak, they will have to answer exactly those questions. The challenge: Mount Kilimanjaro rises from nearly sea level all the way up to 19,330 feet. The trail climbs from the hot bushland through rain forest, moorland, alpine desert and arctic glaciers up to the rocky Uhuru peak. A climb like Mt. Kili presents special challenges when it comes to luggage, clothing and gear. Being prepared for the weather and temperature extremes is a necessity, but it's also important not to pack too much. There is a 35-pound weight limit to each piece of luggage carried by a porter. Most climbers pack one 35-pound capacity bag to go up with a porter and one small daypack to carry up themselves. The daypack: Erica and Tara will have 7 days to summit Tanzania's Mount Kilimanjaro. As they pass from one ecological zone to the next, their needs will change and so will the contents of their daypacks. Each day Erica and Tara will repack their daypacks in anticipation of the specific challenges of the day's journey. In general, their daypacks will include things like water, snacks, dry clothing, waterproof gear and sunscreen. The importance of keeping clothing and gear dry cannot be overstated. When choosing a daypack, a small to medium backpack made of lightweight, moisture-resistant material that comes with a removable waterproof shell will be ideal. It's also helpful if the backpack has convenient access to a water bottle compartment or can accommodate a water bladder. Plenty of pockets, zipper compartments and hooks are also handy. What to pack: A sturdy but lightweight water-repellant duffel bag with a capacity of about 35 pounds is ideal for the trek to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The bag needs to have room for plenty of layers of breathable, moisture-wicking clothing and layers of fleece clothing, as well as a waterproof layer. To save space, it's a good idea to pack clothing that does double duty, such as pants that easily convert into shorts. Aside from clothing, the climb will also require accessories like sunglasses, hats and gloves, plus equipment like trekking poles and a headlamp, as well as toiletries like sunscreen, insect repellent and a first-aid kit. Support the Challenged Athletes Foundation: Overstock.com and the C.H.E.K Institute are co-sponsoring Erica and Tara's climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in order to raise awareness for athletes with physical challenges who wish to participate and compete in sports. Portions of the proceeds will benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). CAF raises funds to give physically challenged athletes the opportunity to stay active and competitive in the sports they love. Tips on What to Put in a Diaper Bag
Diaper bags come in all styles and designs, from trendy leather messenger bags to easy-care canvas totes. Once you have selected the perfect diaper bag, though, you need to fill it with the proper gear, so you will be prepared for anything your baby needs when you are out and about. In time, packing your diaper bag will become second nature, much like packing your own bag or purse. It is common, however, for new parents to have some anxiety about packing the right stuff for a trip out with baby. While different trips will require different essentials, here are a few basics that can help keep traveling with your new baby stress-free.
Benefits of Using a Travel Backpack When Traveling
Travel backpacks offer a number of benefits for all types of travelers and may be an attractive alternative to larger tote bags, duffel bags and miniature suitcases. Whether you're traveling with a backpack over a long distance or traveling by plane with a small backpack as a carry-on, use a travel backpack designed with extra compartments and tight-fitting, portable style to ensure a comfortable travel experience. Easy to stow and store: The design of a travel backpack makes it easy to store it in overhead bins in a bus, train or airplane. The soft sides of a backpack let it conform to tight storage spaces. Many travel backpacks have compression straps that let you cinch the packs contents down to take up less space. Comfort: Travel backpacks put less strain on your body than most other kinds of luggage because their weight doesn't pull on one side of your body. Travel backpacks are designed to evenly distribute their load on your shoulders and hips, making them easy to carry for several hours. Thick straps with lots of padding make it even more comfortable. Keeps travelers organized: Many travel backpacks are designed with several compartments to store smaller items, such as water bottles, a cell phone, MP3 player, PDA, passport and subway tokens. This makes it easier to stay organized while traveling, ensuring that all your basic items and accessories are within easy reach. Easy to move around: Probably the biggest benefit of using a travel backpack is the ease of movement it provides. You don't have to worry about dragging a rolling suitcase up a flight of stairs. A travel backpack is also easier to maneuver through a crowd of people than most other types of luggage. Protects items from the elements: Many travel backpacks are made with water-resistant and waterproof fabrics that protect your valuables no matter what the weather forecast may look like. Travel backpacks made with polywick fabric, ballistic nylon and other weatherproofing materials are especially beneficial for travelers who will be outdoors for most of their trip.
