Olympia Rolling Backpack
jeanis  from Springfield, MO,  Oct 19, 2009
Had this backpack for about 4 weeks and the zipper pulls apart and will not stay zipped. I would not recommend this pack as it is not durable.

Excellent

Very high quality, and compared to other rolling backpacks, very much superior. it's quiet and heavy duty, has just enough space/pockets and I love the way it's designed.

Backpack
heimbts  from San Jose, CA,  Oct 9, 2009
The zipper broke within the first 3 days rendering it unusable to my son. Very frustrating. It is also hard to get his books in and out because the top does not open as widely as needed.

I'm a teacher and pregnant and figured this bag would be a big help rather than carrying my heavy bag with all my books on my shoulder. Comes in very handy except for when I have to go up the stairs (which I didn't think about) and I have to carry it. Only problem is that it doesn't stand straight up, it leans forward. Other than that, it's great!

I bought this for my son who just started middle school. While I admit I didn't spend big bucks on it, by the second week it was already wearing in the corners from the books in the bag. Maybe it's not meant to carry books? My son also told me that the wheels lock up on it sometimes. Kids these days have to carry so much and I so wanted this rolling backpack to work, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Nephew Love It

I purchased this backpack for my 9 year old nephew. One month later and it is holding up well. We got the Marigold color. It is more of a peach, lighter than shows on screen.

Lovely but tipsy
trilbie  from New York,  Sep 22, 2009
I purchased this rolling backpack for my daughter who had spinal infusion surgery this summer. The backpack contained several compartments which is very convenient. However, as instructed by her surgeon, she is not to bend nor twist for several months. You can imagine my anxiety when she repeatedly stated that the backpack tips over frequently in class - how unfortunate, now I have return to her prior year's backpack which was firm and sturdy, however, not as attractive.

Very Happy Customer
erdikyr  from Edinburg, TX,  Sep 15, 2009
I purchased the Olympia rolling backpack for my 10 1/2 year old daughter (whom is VERY picky). I must have shopped at 10 different stores w/her and purchased and returned 3 different backpacks. She seemed to find something wrong with all of the backpacks we saw. I did agree with her on most of her complaints. The color was to "boyish", the wheels not sturdy enough, the handle was too long, the material was too flimsy...etc. The price in my opinion was at the top of the list! So, when we received her Olympia rolling backpack, we both knew we had gotten a GREAT deal. The material is of great quality, the 4 wheels are comparable to rollerblading wheels (with bearings), the color and style are unique (at her school, the kids seem to all have similar styles, colors, etc), and the inside of the backpack is very spacious. And the price was perfect! We are both very satisfied with our purchase! Thanks, Overstock.com!!!! :)

Olympia Rolling Backpack
vmain  from Orlando,  Sep 11, 2009
I purchased the rolling backpack because of shoulder and back pain. I use public transit to/from work each day and carry my lunch, and miscellaneous "must haves" in the rolling backpack and it has helped me tremendously with the pain. I also feel I got a great deal on the price!

Good Backpack
webbmom  from arlington, tx,  Sep 11, 2009
We have been very please with this backpack so far. It is for my 4th grade son who can be hard on a backpack. We've only had it for about 3 weeks, but it is holding up well. It is large and will hold quite a few books. The wheels look sturdy. The only potential problem is that the clip for attaching the shoulder straps drags the ground when using it as a rolling backpack. I can't figure out how to correct this. Overall, we are happy with this backpack.

Rolling backpack
licorice1  from Rotterdam,NY,  Sep 10, 2009
I have quite a walk from the parking lot at work to my office. I bought this to help me tote things that are too heavy to carry. With the wheels it makes it so much easier!

Backpacks
aelffriend  from Vancouver, WA,  Sep 10, 2009
These are the 3rd & 4th of these backpacks we have ordered. They last much better than any other brand we have tried. Most prior backpack did not last a single school year, these last at least 2. Wheels work exceptionally well.

The Olympia rolling backpack is the perfect transitional size for my son. It is made of high quality material and very durable. Perfect for rolling school supplies and homework to and from school. We were suprised to find the double wheels on both sides and the extra extension handle for people of different heights. Wonderful! Well recommended.

Looks are deceiving
msbrat  from Maricopa County, AZ,  Aug 28, 2009
This backpack seemed flimsy upon arrival, (which by the way took only days!), and not as roomy as I had hoped. I wanted to send it back, seeing as the old backpack seemed sturdier. My son liked it, however, and wanted to keep it. So far, so good, but its only 2 wks into the school year. One thing I noticed was that there was no padding or reinforcement of the back where the handle slides into. If he had to wear it for any length of time, it would be digging into his back. So far no issues w/ wear and tear, but I honestly don't expect it to hold up, given its flimsy appearance. If my son hadn't insisted on keeping it, it would have gone right back.

second time buyer

I purchased a back pack from your company after my middle-school son quickly went through three others. This one was the only one that could withstand a middle school schedule. I now have another child entering middle school, so I ordered one for him too!

Poor
m2oz  from Tracy, California,  Jul 31, 2009
My daughter used this bag for a whole year now. We couldn't wait to replace it with another wheeled bag. At first, the bag would fall forward when books were put inside. Now, it barely can stand up on its own even when empty (leans forward a lot). The netting for the bottle holder started to rip immediately. The bottom edges of the bag started to rip/tear as well. The only thing we liked was the front pockets and the colors are great, too.

you get what you pay for
zappelphilippa  from silicon valley,  Jun 30, 2009
I bought 2 of these for my daughters and within a short time the bottoms of the backpack got holes in it since it is just fabric and no reinforcement. The capacity is good but the material is just not holding up with 7 and 8 year olds and they are not even rough with it, just rolling the backpack up stairs and the sidewalk curb wrecks the pack within weeks.

Doesn't hold up well
simicathick  from Simi Valley, CA,  May 12, 2009
I ordered two of these at the beginning of the school year for my 4th grade boys. The part that touches the ground when you pull it is made of fabric, so of course it was destroyed. Within three months the bottom of them was torn and ripped. The water bottle holder touches the ground when you pull, so they have holes and you can't keep a water bottle in them any more. We have very mild weather here so they are not being dragged through snow, salt or mud. These don't hold up to every day wear and tear well at all.
