wow what a luggage, i been looking for a strong yet light luggage and here it was a hard side plus regular luggage all built into one. side of the luggage is hard side and front and back of the luggage is regular luggage material so even expands. this luggage not only looks awesome with eight wheels but it has the function of both kind of luggage in the market. i travel all over the world for business and i think i found my match here.
The luggage seems to be holding up very well. Haven't had anything break yet. Do note that this luggage is not nylon. Some sites have it listed that way. It is polyester. But still good good luggage.
Just returned from a 10 day vacation. This luggage was great. Enough room for everything. I flew Southwest, so I was limited to 50 lbs. Had to reduce my load at the airport because I was overweight. The eight wheels are the best thing ever. As long as you are on a smooth surface - one-hand pulling/pushing. Carpet takes more effort. The only problem that I encountered was that the eight wheels are small. I got hung up alot with sidewalk cracks and changing surfaces. The biggest problem was the gap when getting in the elevators. Better get a running start to make it over the opening.Great looking luggage and easy to handle )
My husband and I used it on a cruise and we were so delighted to be able to manipulate it in any direction. Our luggage was way in the back row and if it had been on normal wheels, we would have had to wait for most of the luggage to be claimed.Because of the spinning wheels, we walked on back and twisted the luggage sideways in the aisle to retrieve it. It is also easier to roll a fully packed case. Double bonus came when I was rolling my carryon piece in front of me through the airplane sideways to keep from hanging up on the seats.Easy to recognize because of the design, easy to roll, and easy on the pocketbook!
I purchased this luggage set approximately 1 year ago and carried it on 2 trips via air successfully. On my 3rd trip the luggage is severely damaged. One piece did not withstand the rigorous handling by the airline staff. I filed a complaint to the airline but they accepted no responsibility. I would not recommend puchasing this luggage if you are going to travel via air.
I haven't traveled with the luggage yet. So far, feels very sturdy and interior features are high quality.
The luggage arrived and we were very impresssed by the quality of the 3 pieces. The interior lining, hanger and straps were top quality and the exterior construction appears that it will last longer than the warranty of 10 years.
We just purchased this set on Napoleon luggage on January 1, 2010 for a cruise on the 16th. The luggage looked great, nicely made and rugged. This is the fist time we purchaded spinner luggage so I was not sure what to expect. The wheels are not protected like standard wheeled cases so I was a bit concerened when I opened the box and saw the 4 wheels 3-4" tall protruding from the bottom. Well, as expected, when we picked up the luggage on the first leg on the flight, one wheel on the big case was practicly broken off. They are not attached to a frame so if they are heavy & dropped the plastic will not support the wheel & it will cave in. Overstocked was great and will allow us to swap them for another style. PS: The smaller bags are ok since they are not as heavy and work well.
We found the Olympia Napoleon 8-Wheel Spinner 3-piece Luggage Set not only a great value but a great luggage set Not only is it durable but it was really easy to push or pull, the wheels worked great! We looked at all the stores in our area for a 3 piece luggage set to take on a cruise with us but we could not find anything to compare to the Olympia Napoleon luggage set. We would certainly reccomend this set .
I got the set a month ago. It looked very pretty, but the larger suitcase broke during my first trip abroad. I was totally disappointed in the product.
It lived up to my expectations: stylish, durable and roomy; everyone in Boston kept asking us where we purchased our set because they wanted a set too!
I really like them. They look so nice :D
After much deliberation, we settled on this 3 piece luggage set. The hard casing seems durable. So far we've only used it once, but they seemed to hold up very well. Great value for the price, I think. And there are lots of little extras---the spinner wheels def. helped to handle, obviously the color (cardinal) made them stand out and easy to locate. Each suitcase expanded and there is an inner zipper-able lining that holds shoes, etc and on the way back you can store laundry in there and zip it up to separate your laundry from the clean clothes. There's also a little shoe bag. We didn't use the carry on for this recent trip but I did notice that it came with a little plastic bag to hold your liquids and gels. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase and hope they hold up!
I am an avid traveller. Travel at least every other month overseas and every month in USA. I have owned and ruined so many luggage. Some got torn, others, the wheels wore out as I rolled them on cobblestones all over Europe, Asia and the good old USA. I have taken these NEW Purchase once but have not really 'tested' it. However, they seem to hold. Leaving for another trip next week, so we shall see. I love the tapered look.
We looked at this luggage at a local outlet luggage store and the large suitcase was as much as the whole set that we got. They hold a lot of clothes and will be great for my daughter who will be studying abroud this next year.
We just returned from a trip to Europe where I took the middle size and my daughter took the large size suitcase. They are a very strong suitcase and in fact I used mine to pack breakable souvenirs and we bought an inexpensive suitcase to pack my clothes in. Everything in that suitcase came home intact. The spinner wheels are really handy, don't work too well over cobble stone streets, but whatever.
I recently traveled to Las Vegas and used my new luggage. It was easy to roll, light weighted and easy to see on the luggage carousal. I've only used it once so I not sure how durable it is. However, for my trip it held up very well. I am happy with my selection and have recommended it to a friend.
I bought this 2 weeks prior to my vacation and was a little skeptical of what I would receive. When it came my husband and I were really impressed with the quality and thought the look was really nice. We bought it in cardinal. When I started packing I couldn't believe how much I could fit in. I even brought my pillow. I loved that I could pack and zip everything in. I was worried about the wheels being damaged through all the throwing around at the airport but they held up great. The wheels were amazing to push or pull, very smooth. Because the luggage looks different than anything else it was very easy to spot the luggage.
Pros: this set has pockets on the outside and has beautiful organization on inside. Cons: The base of largest bag cracked after the first trip. The medium bag is not large enough. The small bag is too big for carry on size and wouldn't fit in the overhead bin. Poor design!
I was looking for a spinner carry on piece when I came across this set. There are 3 pieces for the price of 1 spinner Samsonite. The Samsonite piece that I liked the most had 8 wheels for easier manuverability. So I figured this set would be comparable. It is a very pretty set. I traveled with it twice so far. It fits well in the plane's overhead rack, however, it is too fat to fit in the test overhead bin, so you may be asked to check your bag. Its easy to manuver on tile and really thin carpet. Thicker carpet you will have to pull the traditional way. There are no stop breaks, so if you put it on a rental car bus, for example, it may roll if it is not secured. So far it's durable, however I don't trust the handle because there is a lot of pulling and pushing. And what size! I really was able to pack in about 40% more things that in my normal carry on.
