Bought this backpack for middle-schooler who's always carrying a HUGE 3 ring binder, several textbooks, and several notebooks at a time. Everything FITS, with room to spare and pockets for other essentials (like toys)! The canvas construction seems sturdy as are the zippers. The straps are padded and son says are comfortable. Would recommend.

My son wanted a canvas backpack and I wanted one that would last more than a year. Fits both requirements.

The company that offers "Lifetime Warrenty" - Luggage America - offers very poor service. They expect me to mail in the backpack (which has been used for only 3 months), pay for the postage, AND send them a $9.50 mailing label for return shipping. Their ad states that they offer free shipping. I'm very disappointed and may report them to the Better Business Bureau. I would choose any other backpack over this one. The product is of poor quality and the company doesn't even back their own products.

I've had it for a few weeks now and so far it's held up really well. I live on my college's campus and the first day I used it, it poured. The bag is not waterproof but it surprisingly did not get anything inside wet. Just flew to another city a few days ago and used it as my suitcase/carry-on. It's a great because it fit all of my stuff but still fit under the seat in front of me. I love it so far, no issues at all. And it definitely feels lighter than my previous bookbag. I would definitely recommend it, it's great. I got the green color and I really like it. The one very small "problem" is that it slouches. However, I love this bookbag so much, that I don't really even care about that.

If you're looking for a very sturdy, extremely ROOMY canvas backpack, you've found it! I was nervous buying online and did several searches for images of the bag in use to no avail. When it arrived (in a snap, btw) the box was rather patched together. But when I opened the box I was so thrilled! It is perfect. I can't say enough about how big it is, and with well-placed/sized pockets. I bought it to take camping in the boonies and the sturdy composition is exactly what I wanted. The pocket options are great, especially if you're using this as "luggage" on a trip. I chose the brown color after reading one reviewer's comment about the intensity of the green. The brown has a slight greenish tint, making it quite neutral, which is nice. I am gushing but this was an experience of an item being exactly what I was looking for! My husband wants one too, but matching packs would be too nerdy.

I have been very pleased with this backpack. It is sturdy and holds up for all the books and supplies my 5th grader has to carry, with room to spare.

The backpack is larger than most but not quite a large as I hoped. It holds most of my middle school student's books but sadly not all. This replaces yet another backpack and it appears sturdy enough to make it through the remainder of the year. If you have a lot to carry that won't fit into a standard sized back pack but it almost all fits this will do the job otherwise try a larger pack. It's fairly priced, however, you're not getting a great deal either. My son doesn't care about the color which is good because, frankly, the brown is as described an army brown circa 1940. Yuck.

My kids have a lot of school books and materials they have to drag back and forth to school. The regular backpacks that can be found at major retailer for the same price, just do not hold up! My daughter (11yrs) at first did not care for the tan color of the backpack, until I embellished it with iron-on decals and keychain trinkets on the zippers. Now it is "cool" and the backpack is holding up well! I have already recommended this backup to another mom at school, she purchased one for her son also!

My 13 year old son needed a larger back pack to meet his middle school needs. It is difficult to find a back pack that does not have a lap top section (which decreases book space). This pack does not waste room on a computer section so is very large. It holds his 3" binder, a few text books, his lunch box and his coat. It is sturdy and well built. Very nice value for the money.

I love this backpack! It's sturdy, as other reviewers mentioned; however, it's not waterproof, but that's the only downside. Also, the zippers go off line occasionally, but not permanently - I think it's just because the teeth are so large. I carry a heavy load of textbooks around, and the design makes it feel lighter than other backpacks I've used.

My son goes through several backpacks per school year, usually because the zippers give out and start separating. This backpack has a zipper with much bigger teeth, so they don't wear as quickly. The fabric is durable and well-stitched. It is roomy enough for his lunchbox, books/binders, and even a coat. I've been very pleased and will be coming back for more as my girls' backpacks wear out.

This backpack is very roomy and sturdy. It has what appear to be extremely strong zippers. Black was out of stock so I ordered the brown. My twelve year old son likes it a lot. His textbooks are heavy and it carries them well.

I am the type of person who researches each new purchase to death. After extensive backpack review, I selected the Olympia backpacks due to what appeared to be their durability and simplicity. I bought two and am extremely happy with the purchase. They are a great material that is so different from typical backpacks. They have huge storage areas and large zippers. The only negative is the color, but my husband who hates anything loud and glitzy though the colors were perfect. We are using these for a trip to India with our 18 month old. They will carry a lot of our day to day items along with her diapers, wipes and all that good baby stuff. We bought the brown and green backpacks. The colors look almost exactly alike. In a dark room, it is impossible to tell them apart. Over all, I would say we are very happy with the purchase....

I am a Ph.D. student and I carry 7 to 10 books, a mini laptop, several notebooks and folders and the backpack handles it all very well. If you have several books you need to carry, this pack will serve you well.

Sturdy with lots of space for books and more, deep and have seen other similar backpacks for triple the cost. Just the right color for teenage son. Colors are unisex so, anyone would enjoy.

I like it every way. Well built so it will last, comfortable to wear, and it is big, but not too big and carries all I need without being overburdened. I am very pleased.
