Do not believe what the copy says
I ordered this for my son for school, reading that it was "ideal for books". I checked the dimensions. Everything seemed o.k. I ordered it and when I got it, found out that the openings, both top and side zipper, are too narrow to fit a typical school textbook or binder in. There is no way this is ideal for books unless we are talking about paperbacks are something much smaller than school books. My son thought it looked cool anyway, so we returned it and are now trying for one of the larger versions. Too bad there are no reviews there.

I like this backpack overall
Bought to use for grocery shopping and packing while cycling. Works very well for 10-15 items. Really enjoy the natural look of this bag and it functions well for the needed activity. I will probably use it for hiking if it is still in good condition next summer. I would have prefered snaps instead though.

I am using this for college. I put 3 books, 3 note books and have room for one more book (no you cannot use 3" binders). This would not be good for high school if you are going to carry 5 books with you, but it is great for what I am going to use it for. This would make a great day pack. I have used overstocked one time before and was happy. I did find this item from another co. and they wanted around $14.95 for shipping and at a higher price. After reading the reviews I was worried about what I was going to get, I am now thinking about buying another one.

Lovely Day Pack
I was confused when I was unable to choose the color of this little pack, but was pleasantly surprised when I received the blue color (it looks nicer than the picture). This pack is the perfect size for me as it is on the smaller side and really lightweight. I am a college student and really only need to carry a couple of notebooks and a few other personal possessions at any given time, so I hate lugging a big pack. It can fit a few changes of clothes if need be, however. It has a little pocket on the inside, one on the top flap, and one on the front of the pack -- perfect for keeping those little items separate and handy. I am extremely happy with this pack, especially considering the price.

on the first day on the the pieces came off..the back pack is also smaller than i thought. i attend a college and found that for my folders, binders, and binders this pack was too small for my needs
