This BEAUTIFUL bag appears to be made of high quality rip stop denier fabric--in any case it is not made of flannel. It has a "flannel type PLAID" . It is certainly water repellant; it may be water proof. The bag is actually a kind of soft luggage typw computer case; lightweight but protective and just gorgeous quality in every respect. The laptop pocket is fully cushioned on both sides. There is a flap with pockets both external and internal, as well as cell phone holders and a mesh holder which would hold a water bottle or other portable potable. This bag is almost outrageously attractive and functional. It was part of a sixtieth birthday present for me, along with my new notebook, and I AM THRILLED with the moderate cost,high quality of function, and beautiful design of this ample, sharp laptop bag.
I received the bag and it is just what the picture of it indicates: a sturdy, simple canvas messenger bag that is big enough to hold a laptop if you need it to. It has one zippered document pocket on the back of the exterior of the bag, a simple open pocket for something like a cell phone at one end of the exterior, a internal divider running down the length of the interior, an small open pocket on the inside just big enough to hold an averaged sized optical mouse, and no fancy organizers, hidden pockets, bottle holders, or other “upgrades” for you to lose track of your keys or other small objects in. The outer covering flap is secured with two sizable strips of Velcro, and the shoulder strap looks sturdy and wide enough to haul as much as you can stuff into the bag comfortably (although the strap pad will have to be relocated unless you want to keep the strap adjusted to a rather long length). It is just what I wanted for traveling. Actual dimensions are 15” wide, 12” tall and 3“ deep...
I gave this bag as a present, and it has aged well over several years and lots of travel. It is a handsome bag.
We purchased this item as we were looking for a large messenger bag. The dimensions listed were 15X15X8 inches. The actual are more like 15 x 12x5 inches. That's a large discrepancy and needs to be corrected in their description. Be careful if you are purchasing based on the description.
