I chose the black leather version of this dopp kit (AKA: DOB kit). The name itself derives from early 20th century leather craftsman Charles Doppelt, and is a small bag, made of leather and is used for storing men's grooming tools for travel. This bag perfectly fits the definition. Mine is free from any major defects. I am satisfied with the product. It is made of American cured leather and in turn Made in China, according to its credentials. I would have granted it a five star rating, but for its hardware (nylon type zippers)and pliability (stiffness). All in all, the bag is adequate and I would recommend it to any young gentleman.

My husband was thrilled with the bag and so was I when he opened it. The leather is of good quality as well as the stitching and the way the bag opens. You can order this one with confidence. Be sure to check the dimensions as it is a large toiletry bag and not the kind you carry on flights usually. However, it is wonderful if you are traveling by car. We usually use the nylon ones when flying for the lighter weight. This bag is a showstopper though. It would make a good impression as a gift, especially for an executive or a college student.

This bag is awesome, I looked and looked for one for my dad for Christmas and they were either tacky or too small or not leather or way too much money. I found this one and it is comparable to the ones that were in the over $100 price range. It is a beautiful leather (brown) and my dad loves it. It is really nice size too, bigger then many. Don't hesitate!

Got this for my hubby. It's roomy and holds all his shaving gear and toiletries. It doesn't take up much room in the corner of a suitcase. It seems to be well made. The lining is well sewn and the zippers glide smoothly. He's been very happy with it on 2 recent trips. I would definitely buy another one for him or as a gift.

The man of the house needed a new toiletry bag. I had replaced his old one with a cloth travel version that could hang over a door. Not a hit with him. Instead, he loves the black leather item selected by his son from Overstock.com and sent to him for his birthday. Great quality.

I ordered this toiletry bag for my college age son who desperately needed a new one that would hold up well. The bag is very high grade leather and very well made, with lots of storage compartments, plus we love the way it snaps open and closed. The only problem we had was with the zipper. It was a nylon coated zipper which would appear to close, but the teeth would separate after zipping. I think it simply is a matter of the leather being not broken in or soft. The zipper had to make a turn around the edges, and I think that interferred with the alignment. We were going to return it, but my son was leaving for college again after the holidays, so there was no time to get a replacement. I think over time, it will be a wonderful bag and in the meantime, he just have to be careful to be sure it's zipped when he closes it.

This is a nice bag, in that if you're looking for the "old fashioned" style of leather men's toiletry bag, which I was, then this is exactly what it looks like. The leather wasn't as heavy as I was hoping for. It has a thin, inexpensive feel. I personally think it feels more like a $16.95 bag than what I paid for it. Overall, though, it's a pretty good bag. If the leather had been not so cheap looking and feeling, it would have gotten a 5star rating.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my husband. He loves it--he has been looking for a toiletry bag for awhile and had yet to find a bag that was this quality at an affordable price. The "doctor's bag" style of opening is great to be able to see everything that is inside the bag without having to stick your hand in and dig around for what you want. It has a sturdy base and is the perfect size for being able to fit his shaver as well as everything else, without being too big. Would absolutely recommend this product.

I replaced a toiletry bag that was purchased many years ago at Nieman Marcus and am very pleased with the quality of this purchase. My husband likes the zippered bottom section and the generous top for holding all his toiletries. I read the reviews before I purchased and agree - - -it's a great value.

The bag FINALLY arrived and Christmas has come and gone. Shipping was way too long, almost 3 weeks. Will definetly think long and hard before ordering again. The bag is nice. Good quality and very roomy.

CHEAP QUALITY!! I ordered this same toiletry bag for my husband 2 years ago and LOVED the quality! The one I received this year was very cheap looking... very poor fabric and just cheap looking! I don't know why the change, but I will not be ordering this anymore.
