McKlein Large Leather Agenda

I purchased this organizer, seeing it as a way to save money over a fully-stocked starter package. I liked the pictures, and the leather quality seemed fine. However, when I received my organizer, and went to the local office supply store to purchase paper, I discovered the horrendous design flaw. The organizer takes "6-hole" paper, as opposed to the more standard "7-hole" or "3-hole" type. The only type of 6-hole paper I could find in stock in 3 different stores was barely larger than a pocket notepad, nowhere near large enough to justify a medium-to-large organizer size. Essentially, this is like purchasing a betamax tape player, or an HD-DVD drive. This particular format is so under-represented as to be useless. Literally half of the area of the organizer's space would never be utilized, when filled with these teensy notepad-sized slips of paper. I asked the staff, and showed them the dillemma, and they were as surprised as I was. What is worse, the spacing on the other, more standard paper types is such that adding the extra holes in the appropriate spaces would cause your refills to be very flimsy, loose, and completely unusable. I suppose you could simply purchase blank paper, and manually place your own holes, but that defeats the entire purpose of the organizer. After much searching, I abandoned my purchase, and chalked it up to experience. Make sure that any organizer you purchase is a 7- or 3-hole design.
