  This bag was a pleasant surprise. It is roomier than I expected. Other than the zippered compartment in the back there are also 2 vertical pouch openings in the front for sunglasses, etc., another zippered compartment in the front, several other pouches inside at the back for cell phones, pens, notepads, etc. It is very durable leather and comfortable to wear. Highly recommend the purchase.

  This bag was given to me as a gift. I wanted a dressier bag for school, and a nice everyday bag once I graduate and enter the professional world. This bag caught my eye because of the terrific reviews but also because of the price. My fiancée bought it for me for Christmas and it arrived just in time. I have used it almost daily since 1/1/12 and this review is being written on 5/16/12. With over 5 months of nearly daily use it isn't showing a single sign of wear. The bag is a perfect size to carry my laptop (which is a a thicker laptop), plus 2-4 books, depending on the thickness of book (my average book is maybe 1 1/2" at the spine). The front pockets (under the flap) are big enough to hold the charger, plus a bag of cough drops, tissues, maybe a travel thermos. The zippered pouch is perfect for pens, etc. The only complaint I have is that the side pockets (for a thermos, water bottle, etc.) could have been a little larger.   A good quality leather bag, however, note the dimensions in the description, the bag is more square & not rectangular like most messenger bags, the picture is a little deceiving. That being said, I did note the dimensions prior to ordering & ordered it anyway for my husband & he found it stores everything (9x12 files, legal pads, Ipad, calendar) just fine. Also be aware that a portion of the strap is canvas & not leather, & I don't think this is noted in the description. Otherwise it appears to be of quality construction & is attractive, professional looking & unisex, I wouldn't mind having one for myself.
