Leather Convertible Boarding Bag

Quality is good and design allows surprising amount of contents to be squeezed in. Strap needs a better design.

I bought this for a 10 trip to Canada and I thought:THE GOOD: It was the right size. My necessary glasses, camera, sunglasses etc. all fit. The price was right.THE BAD: The design of the strap in relation to the purse meant that when it was full and you were wearing it, it wanted to pull the flap open--even when I took things out so it was not even full. The buckle would dig into my shoulder after a few hours no matter where I tried to position it. In addition the strap was too narrow and also was uncomfortable after a day of sightseeing.THE UGLY: I purchased the black purse and the edge of the strap, the side pockets, essentially anywhere the purse would "rub" on things the black would rub off and white (What kind of cow is this?) would show through--very ugly!I got rid of this purse. I bought this purse to take on a trip to Steamboat Springs, CO. It worked great! The water bottle compartment was instrumental in keeping hydrated, which of course, is important in the Colorado mountains. It's not the cutest purse I've ever owned but it was definately convenient. The over the shoulder strap kept me hands free and it carried my camera and other necessities so everything was always right at hand.

This seems to be a good quality bag of sturdy leather. However, the leather does make is somewhat inflexible and restricts what you can carry. The leather also makes it a little heavier than I had hoped. The strap is a great length and easy to put across your body for security and to have hands free for other things. I have used it on two air flights and business trips. I will continue to use it, but again am slightly disappointed in the heaviness.

This bag has superior organization and quality in a compact size that works well slung across the chest. I had been looking for this combination of function and quality for a long time, so finding this bag is a treat. Might have to buy it in other colors.
