I bought the jumbo and body sling bags as gifts to dad/hubby from my daughter and I for Father's Day. Upon arrival of the products, he loved both of them. The jumbo bage is a perfect sized bag to carry all the things he needs for work and even when he goes to the gym.

I have been looking for a backpack purse for a long time and came across this one at Overstock. I was surprised by the price as most backpack purses like this are quite expensive. Before I purchase at Overstock, I read all the reviews for an item and this one seemed to have received some good and some bad reviews. I really liked the design of this backpack so I purchased one. I have been carrying this for awhile and I love it. I have had absolutely no problems with it as some of the other reviews have stated. It has great organization with two side pockets that hold my cell phone and sunglasses and two pockets in front that hold my keys and other small accessories. The main compartment holds everything else almost perfectly. This purse rides well as a sling or works well as a backpack when out shopping. The leather is very soft and I have found absolutely no problems with the durability. I would recommend this item for anyone that is looking for a backpack purse.

I had read the previous reviews and was a little worried that this would be too small to put anything in..................so wrong. It holds my Kindle, wallet, 5X7 journal and tons of miscellaneous items. Plus it has a small side zipper for frequently used items like keys or cell phone so that you don't have to remove the backpack to get to the pocket................Highly recommend this product!

When I first unpacked the backpack I kept looking inside thinking I'd find some packing material which was not there. I am not sure what's inside but it still makes "that sound", as if there would be thin paper inside. Anyway, it is practical, I walk a lot and I put it on my back ( where a backpack belongs) but it's also easy to sling over one shoulder. Overall a great value for the money, superlight and leather! I like it!

For the price, I'm pretty happy with this sling/backpack. It has pretty good organization and good size. I'm a bit concerned with the thin leather and zippers holding out over the long term....will have to see how that goes. But overall, for the price, it's a good value.

This backpack is absolutely perfect. It was smaller than I had originally thought but it turns out this is just the perfect size ... it holds all the items I need to carry (it has outside pockets for phone and glasses) and it has gotten me away from a heavy backpack. The leather is very soft too. You can carry it by the small handle, keep the back straps zipped to sling it over one shoulder or unzip the straps to use on the back. I used to take items out of my backpack and put in a purse to carry ... now I use this exclusively. I would definitely recommend this.

I am a petite woman 5'2" and weight 125 pounds. I prefer a smaller size backpack, which are hard to find but this one is smaller than I expected. It has lots of pockets, which is nice but they're not all that roomy compared to my child's size backpack. It will hold the regular size water bottles and more. The leather feels good but the zippers don't slide easily, and I'm afraid they will wear out or tear from the leather. The straps separate by a zipper to wear as a backpack or shoulder strap. This zipper doesn't stay in place very well and always opens all the way up. The straps aren't that wide so if you're carrying any significant weight, they will hurt your shoulders, which it does to me. This backpack is difficult to sling over your back because it is so small. It is difficult to wear this as a shoulder bag because it slips off my shoulder. But it looks good. The leather is good. But the zippers are questionable. I don't think this will hold up like my other backpacks, which I am rough on...using them like an every day purse. I rate products, services, and whatnot according to whether or not I'd purchase it again. I would not purchase this backpack again. I wish I had ordered a better one but it is difficult to find a small leather one. This one would be good for a young gal or teenager or a woman who just wants a very small backpack for ocassional use.

Nice leather bag. The quality of the leather is very soft. The bag has a great look to it. For the money it is an excellent value. Service was responsive and shipping was fast. The bag is a litltle bit smaller than I anticipated. And aside from that, my only complaint, as others have mentioned, the straps are WAY TOO SHORT, making it impossible to wear as a sling or messenger bag. It is way too small to wear as a backpack, unless it is for a child. I managed to make a few inexpensive changes to the bag so that I could wear it messenger bag style. It's sturdy and seems to hold up well. Because of the problem mentioned above I cannot give it a perfect 5-star rating. But still a great bag for the price.

It's a bit large for day to day use as a purse, but it holds so much, it's more than worth the price! I use it more as a daypack when going to the mall, or for small walks or hikes. There is another pocket hidden in the back that you can't see in the picture, with velcro-type closure. I really love the straps. You can either use it as a backpack by unzipping the straps, or zip them up and sling it over your shoulder. And it has a single small strap on top to hold it like that. The leather is very soft, and looks nice. I like that it zips closed on top, instead of a drawstring closure like some are. It keeps everything securely inside if I drop it. And it really holds a lot of stuff. I love it, and for the price, it is very much worth it.

I had a tendency to sling this over my shoulder like a purse - and if the drawstring was not secured, things would fall out. Otherwise I really loved this pack! But when my Palm fell out and got run over, I had to find a different solution. Well constructed, nice color, roomy - just not for me.

The leather is very soft, and it is a very attractive bag and big enough for all of my junk without being too big. The only thing I would say is don't plan on using it as a shoulder bag. It clearly has a backback design and shape, and when I have tried to sling it over my shoulder it immediately falls off. The straps don't stay zippered either (in fact, the "adjustable" straps have an uncanny way of sliding down to the longer position after I adjust them to the shorter position). But for the price, you can't go too wrong.

This was almost exactly what I wanted: plenty of room, yet still compact and easy to carry. I especially love the dual zipper straps that convert from sling to backpack style. However, I would have liked it even better if one of the front comprtments had an organizer section included (slots for cards, a pen, clip for keys, etc.) and if there were a smaller separate cell phone compartment. However, it was still a great buy for the price!

I've used this backpack daily for the last year. I have chronic pain in my shoulders and wearing this backpack instead of a purse has significantly reduced my problems. It is the perfect size for my daily use, small enough to be light-weight but large enough for my wallet, cellphone, sunglasses, and misc other items. It would be nice if it had an interior pocket. Instead I bought a small, zippered pouch for misc items. I like the simple design, side zipper, and the quality of the leather. My only problem with the backpack is that the straps are not stitched onto the bag strongly enough for daily wear. After only a few months the stitching came apart causing the straps to fall out of the bag. I was able to have a shoe repair shop fix the straps, but it cost an additional $20 for the repair. Overall I've been very happy, and I'd buy again.

Design just doesn't work for me. If the top is not completely zipped, when you pick it up by the straps, it tips forward and dumps out the contents. Can't count the number of times my wallet has fallen out because it was only zipped part way. The zipper requires two hands; one to hold the bag and one to pull the zipper around corners. I'm a busy mom, I just don't have enough free hands to make that work - that's why I wanted a sling bag to start with, so I could toss it over my shoulder and free up my hands. Quality is fine, I guess - not sure what the crinkly lining is made from, but it has held up ok.

I bought this to use for work, where I walk a couple blocks almost daily to attend various meetings. I needed a bag that was appropriate and easy to get things in and out of. This bag has pockets where I like them, and will carry lots of items (including a notebook computer, lunch, handouts, etc.) securely. I like the cinch closure for simple and secure fastening and the magnetic snaps are a nice feature. The shoulder straps are comfortable and it seems well made. The padded handle is good for a quick grab. The leather is soft, flexible, and not too heavy. I have the espresso, which is like the photo-a dark brown. As a previous reviewer said, the excess strap length is way too long for some reason. I haven't had it long enough to know how the seams will hold up with all the slinging over my back it is getting, but so far so good.
