I use this backpack as my daily purse. I love that it has 4 pockets inside the purse to help organize contents. Everything does not end up at the bottom in big pile. It also has a slot for a cell phone, which is the one item I need to get to without digging - especially when driving. I would recommend this purse to somone else. The only thing that surprised me was the purse is not really dark brown as at looks in the picture. It is just choclate brown. But I'm keeping the purse. It's the best pack pack purse I've had and I only use backpack style purses.

This backpack is exactly the way it is describe. I love it. The leather is soft and feels great. It has lots of room for things and with zippers. Awesome I would say buy one if you need one. It is a nice backpack to carry on trips, on the plane, etc. Light weight and easy to carry. I love my backpack. Cant wait to use it. It arrived in just 4 days of ordering it. Thanks Overstock!

I purchased this back pack and it works perfect for what I have to carry, I have carry my glucometer and normal girl things and I dont have to take everything else out to find what I want. I was really impressed with the zipper in back for easy access. I just wished it had a little seperate pocket outside to carry my phone, the one inside is to small and kind of hard to access.

I purchased 4 to use as backpacks for a quadriplegic who is in a power chair. I purchase these and when they came in i ordered 4 more so I would be set for several years. He uses 2 bags on the back of his chair; one for his hygiene supplies and the other for straws, napkins, wallet, etc. We purchased the same size backpacks made out of nylon 5 years ago. Those were a great size, but they do NOT compare to these leather bags. These look classy compared the the vinyl bags and the leather will last several years per bag. We are set for 4 years!

I have this backpack because the Jumbo Leather backpack I bought from Amerileather through Overstock ripped within a few months. The drawstring just ripped in half. So, after seeing it was sold out and Overstock (sadly) couldn't fix the drawstring, I exchanged it for this one. This backpack is much smaller and although I do prefer the Jumbo backpack this style can hold many items. I can fit 4 notebooks, a pair of heeled boots, a small book, a drink, and an umbrella in it. If I'm lucky I may be able to squeeze a light jacket or a heavy scarf in there as well. I'm still sort of waiting for this backpack to fall apart, but the only problems I have now are the buckles. They come undone. The buckles you see on the backpack can be unbuckled and adjusted to size and for the most part, they unbuckle themselves. One time, the front buckle completely fell off and my friend had to tell me it was on the floor. It's not just the front buckle either, the pocket buckles do as well. This backpack is pretty worthless without the buckles so I'm a bit unhappy that they can come undone so easily because if I'm not paying attention, I could lose them. I also had a problem with the length of the straps. I went to a shoe store and had them punch extra holes into the leather because it just wasn't tight enough and the backpack was uncomfortable because it hang down my back. I give this a 4 because the design is really cute, but I don't think this brand really takes quality into account. Stylish design, yes, but they need to focus more on having the backpacks hold up to time.

i am very picky about backpacks. i use them as diaper bags and hauling kid stuff around. this one has ample space but isnt too big. i can fit baby stuff, things for my 4 year old, and my wallet, phone, make up bag, etc. and there is still a little room. i plan to use it at disneyland in a couple of weeks. the leather is very supple - but not too much so, there is still some structure to the bag. it hangs nicely and feels good on the back - the straps are long but adjustable. if you like leather, backpacks, and want something that is medium size, you cant go wrong with this one!

this leather backpack is actual better that i had expected it to be considering the price! i have been shopping for a leather backpack for some time but i couldn't bring myself to spend the money of the more costly versions at local retailers . . .the leather is soft but highly durable . . . it is spacious and provides outside pockets which help for those immediate needed or frequently used items we all carry with us . . .clearly this bag is spacious enough for a laptop and text books for a student, or the mounts of "accessories" every mom carries . . .the product is well made and durable . . . the only thing worth commenting on that is not as i would like are the straps have buckles which are ok . . . and they seem durable enough . . . but i don't think they would have been my first choice if i got to pick . . . (that's why only 4 stars)i love this bag . . . and so will you!

Love this backpack/purse! There is plenty of room for everything you need. Soft leather, light weight , lots of room on the inside! (& still have room for a paperback book! ) One inside zipper compartment, 4 outside easy access compartments. No need for a wallet! Unzip to use as backpack or leave zipped to carry over the shoulder as a purse. Great quality, great price and fast shipment. Thanks O Stock...another great product!

Overall, I like the backpack a lot. I ordered it for college, and it's roomy enough for my laptop, a couple books, a notebook, and other random stuff I have to carry around all day. It looks nice and is a high quality leather. My only complaint (why it got 4 instead of 5 stars) is that the straps are kind of thin, and are therefore uncomfortable if the bag is too heavy or if you have to carry it around for long periods of time. But since I mostly just carry it around campus between classes it works just fine. :)

After looking for a backpack that also looked nice as a purse, I settled on this one. It holds everything I need it to without looking too big and bulky. The interior is one big space with a good size zipper pocket against the inside back wall. there are also two zipper pockets on the sides (that I keep my phone, iPod and keys in) and a good size front pocket. Everything gets evenly distributed. It's heavy for a purse, but once it's on my back, it's not bad. It didn't occur to me until after I got it that it being leather starts it off weighing 4 pounds empty. It's something to consider, but it's very beautiful - soft leather - and I love it.

This bag is beautiful, soft, and it's the perfect size for everyday life. I carry my netbook with me everywhere so I wanted something that was pratical, good looking, and comfortable. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish the strap was a bit thicker so it would be more comfortable on my shoulder if I happen to have a lot of stuff with me on a particular day. I can fix this though by maybe using one of my guitar straps instead. A brown leather messenger/backpack is a classic piece to have. It will never go out of style and will only look better with age, kind of like how wine tastes better with age, and how guitars sound better with age.

This is a great backpack, lots of outside pockets with easy access The inside pocket is big enough for 3 or 4 large books.

I do not like the backpack because of several reasons. #1. the strings are fraying and started the 1st week I bought it. #2. the backpack is heavy and with the front zippers it falls over. #3. there are no inside zippered compartments. #4. I should of returned it but never got around to it.

I like the bag very much. The size was just about exactly the size I wanted. However, the inside pocket zipper is broken already and part of the outer lining of the bag is coming apart. If not for these problems I would have given the bag no less than 4 stars

This backpack was so close what I was looking for. It is just the right size for an overnight trip for my feller. It seems to be well made for the most part and will hopefully hold up when being slug around on a road trip. My only concern and the reason for 4 stars is that the closure is plastic and not metal. No problems so far though.

I got this for my trip to Colorado and just loved it. Even tho it probably wasn't very seasonal looking...taking a black leather bag in June...but I am not a slave to fashion so I didn't care. I loved it for the plane trip, holding all my stuff and even used it while hiking in the mountains. I didn't even notice the weight of my camera, water bottle and binoculars at all on my 4 hour hike. It is a bit of a pain with the zipper top but that's no biggie. I will use it forever!!

This bag looks OK on the outside but the inside is where it really falls short. The materials are cheap man-made fabrics and vinyl and the seam work is thick and all to noticeable. I sent it back. I spent 4 times as much on a Floto brand messenger bag instead. This one is a keeper for a lifetime. Trust the old adage that you get what you pay for. With all of the information and competition on the internet advice like that becomes more valid everyday.

I ordered this backpack in the dark brown. The color was beautiful and looked more expensive than it was. I used the bag primarily for work in the beginning. I teach, so throwing in "extra" stuff is possible, plus I have both my hands free for my 4 year old. This backpack has also become my "Mom bag" since I have access to room and space for my stuff and his, and it looks way more stylish than carrying his Elmo bag around:) I loved purses at one time, but carrying one is silly since I have Mom stuff and my stuff to lug around, and with a 2nd baby on the way, this backpack will continue to get a lot of use! I love that it goes with all my nice shoes and boots too.

I ordered this one after reading extensive reviews and looking over plenty of other models. I initially wanted a smaller one, but I am glad I got this model. It looks great and feels very comfortable. The straps are wide so you can even carry heavy things in there without discomfort. I got it for myself but my mom loved it so much we are now sharing it. We may get another one at some point. I got the Cappucino, it's a beautiful colou, but it doesn't attract attention from a mile away which I like. It's very fashionable looking but not extensively flashy. You can use it to go out or to carry books, etc around in it no problem. There is a pocket I did not know about until I got it delivered. It is a zip one on the outer side of the back. It is great to use for those things you need to reach quickly and most people would not huess there would be a pocket there so it's a pretty good place for important stuff too. Basically, I am happy with the purchase and hope this bag will serve us for many happy years in the great condition it is in now. PS. It took about a week or two before it was dispatched, but once it was it arrived surprisingly quickle. I think it took about 3-4 days.
