The case looks great. The section for small things works well. Parts of the sides and top of the case are rigid. I'm sure this is protective, but it makes it hard to reach into the section for file folders without having enough space to open the case fully. I wish there were more pockets and hold-downs in the large section so my camera/batteries/charger etc were not bumping around together. So if the interior configuration works for you, this is a great case.

I am so happy with it. I want to use it for travel, not my daily shopping. Presently, with the horizontal canvas tote, my magazines slump (even though I sewed in a pocket) my Kindle got crushed (they mailed me a new one for free), my camara was hard to find and my glasses case went astray. No more. This is stiff, stands up, and has a perfect pocket for my mags and flyers that I like to look at when on long car trips. (but not while I am driving!) The interior has a more than adequate pockets for my camera, my glasses and the lap top area holds the magazines in a padded place vertical. (no slump) With plenty of space left for my mini in it's padded sleve. Kindle could go in the interior or in the ext pocket. Large. More? Yes. Even with all that. I have plenty of room in the center of the bag for my small purse, water bottle and even a small lunch tote. Zip it all up, so when I knock it over, all is safe. There is another pocket on the fabric back side of the tote that unzips at the bottom and can slide over your luggage handle. This is one beautiful, well thought out bag. And did I mention the kicky metal studs. Oooooh.

This lightweight, durable bag is exactly what I needed. I travel for business doing training and support, and the bag holds my laptop, folders and binder with room to spare. The 2 deep, interior pockets hold all of the cords and chargers for electronics as well as small personal items. The outside pocket with magnetic closure is perfect for boarding pass, book, umbrella items I need quickly. The inline skate wheels are smooth, quiet and durable. The telescopic handle opens and closes easily and is easy to grab from the closed position if you reach from the bag side and not the hard outer shell side. Its a tight squeeze to fit the bag under an airplane seat. I wrestled with it on the aisle seat and got it under, but the handles drifted into the aisle a bit and I didnt want the beverage cart to roll over them so I put the bag in the overhead compartment. I think with a little more foreplanning I can get it under the seat and will try again. Placed in the overhead bin, I had a full plastic water bottle that leaked. I was pretty disappointed to see the wet bag when I got off the plane, but nothing inside was wet! The padding of the bag and the laptop cozy absorbed all the liquid and nothing inside the bag was harmed, not even paper. I give this bag five stars.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband. It is really nice. Not overly formal and stuffy (like those old hard sided ones fform the 80's) but still nice enough to go to the biggest meetings. Great size and neatly packs a surprising ammout of his away. The way thay have the handel built means that it will be incredibly hard to break and IF it does, it should be pretty easy to fix. The Super dark brown color of the leather is really rich looking and so far the leather does not seem to be marking up easily. I am expecting this one to last him for many years.

I love the style of this bag. It's so me. The leather is very high quality and the construction inside is top notch. It balances on the body well, even though I am small in stature. The bag is a little heavy but is built like a tank, so you have a great sense of security. My favorite quality is how it stands up when you set it down. No more bending over to pick up my laptop bag after it has fallen on its side. I would recommend potential buyers think carefully about what's important to them in a bag before buying. This is a specialized backpack. It has no external pockets and isn't the easiest to get into in a pinch. It's very much a hard shell to protect your valuable laptop. The space in the bag is also best suited for flat-ish things (papers, notebooks, computer accessories and fold-flat headphones.) You're not going to be able to cram a change of clothes in here easily... so think about how you use your backpacks before buying.

This is a great bag! A lot "roomier" than I expected. I'm using it for a 13" Macbook Pro. It fits great, but can have some movement from side to side in the laptop pocket. This is not the bags fault as it clearly stated it was for a 17" laptop. I'm reviewing because when I purchased it, there weren't any reviews for me to look at. I am far from being an expert and I rarely review anything, but I hope this will help out anyone considering purchasing this bag. The appearance of the bag is amazing. The leather, stitching and hardware all seem top notch. I LOVE the skull handles! They must be seen in person to appreciate. The rest of the hardware is amazing too. The packing was great and I received it quickly. On the inside It has 3 open areas (pockets) for large items such as your laptop, books etc and the 2 dividers are actually large zipper pockets for documents/folders etc. My iPad 2 fits great in those! In the first (front) large open pocket, it has 2 flapped pockets with velcro to keep them shut. They are the perfect size to fit a portable hard drive or something of similar size. It also has 5 open pockets of various sizes great for a mouse, power/usb cables, memory card reader etc... Then there's 3 pen holders. The middle pocket is where I keep my laptop. The third large open pocket also has a zipper pocket inside of it. On the outside back there is another thin zipper pocket. I've had the bag for a few months now and I still absolutely love it. There are 2 issues that I've noticed since using the bag that could use some attention... First, there is very little padding on the sides and more importantly, the bottom of the bag. If you are using it as a briefcase only, this may not be a concern, but if you are using it for a laptop and it falls or is dropped from waist high or so onto these edges, I could see a laptop getting damaged. I fixed that with a padded insert I had laying around from another laptop bag. It was the perfect size and sits in the bottom of the laptop pocket and offers more protection. The only other complaint I have is with whatever is sandwiched between the leather to make it sturdy. It feels like cardboard, but it is rigid enough to keep the bag sturdy, I just think it could have been a little sturdier... That being said, I would have no problem ordering another one of these for a friend or family member. Hope this helps...

After 15 years with my almost indestructible Samsonite rolling laptop bag, I wanted something slimmer and lighter. That's what I got with this case, after reading countless reviews on it and other offerings. I was hard-pressed to find detailed descriptions of the layout of the bag, so here it is for those interested: the front pockets you see in the illustration are a bit misleading, but in a positive way. Both top pockets extend to the bottom of the bag and are well-gusseted, allowing storage for longer items. The top left pocket has an interior pocket about 3 inches across an 1 inch deep. the top right pocket has very shallow card slots from top to bottom. The bottom left pocket is wide but not deep. The bottom right pocket is also shallow in depth. The first main pocket has two file folder dividers in front which do not extend fully to the bottom of the bag. Behind them is the laptop sleeve, with a top that folds over and closes via velcro. This sleeve purports to be x-ray friendly for airport security checks (have not tried yet). There is only one more compartment, the bulk of which is taken up with handle storage. There are two pockets, one on either side of the handle, which I'm using for laptop power supply in one and wireless mouse and usb in the other. There is minimal remaining storage in this compartment, aft of the handle assembly. Also, the zippers here do not extend fully to the bottom of the bag, making access just a bit limited. Other notes: the handle extends easily and long enough to be comfortable for this 6-footer (same height as my Samsonite). The wheels are very smooth, but just a bit louder than the composite wheels on the Samsonite on pavement, though whisper quiet on carpet. The leather is of good quality. The carry handles work well, though I would prefer a single handle to the two leather handles provided (requires some groping to gather the handles, especially when the telescoping handle is extended - something you might run into when approaching a stairway in an airport. Finally, the zippers on the small, front compartments look a bit suspect to me. They don't have the substantial feel of the Samsonite bag. Also missing is an interior, zippered full-length compartment. I had one in the Samsonite in which I kept documents that required extra security. To sum up: I got what I asked for: a lighter, slimmer, easier to manage briefcase. I did find it a bit challenging to fit everything in that I had in the Samsonite, with its extra compartment. But, I'm enjoying having shed at least five pounds in weight, and the price was right as well...
