Although the leather has lines that look like blemishes of a natural hide, it was surprisingly soft. The color is more of a black/ash instead of the greenish hue on my screen. It's also put together like a wallet with space for various sized currencies, credit cards and whatever you might want keep in your wallet while travelling abroad. The US passport design embossed on the front is what attracted me to this cover and it didn't disappoint. I haven't traveled with it yet, but I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

• Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? The only defect was with the piece of leather used. It wasn't bad but it could have been better. Based on the price it is not an issue.

We bought these as gifts for groomsmen at our destination wedding. I initially didn't like them, but after I examined them I liked them better. You can't fit a passport into the flap, you have to tuck it into the back compartment. So, if you have to show it to officials you have to pull it out of the cover. But that wasn't a big problem for anyone we gave it to. There are also lots of spaces to hold cards, money, etc. He used it as a travel wallet and was quite pleased overall with it, plus for the price you can't beat it!

Bought this as a gift. Looks nice and well made. Leather seems to be of good quality and does not look "cheesy". Lots of slots for cards and such in addition to actually holding your passport

I purchased one of these 20 years ago and i use it as my wallet, you cannot wear it out. i give them as gifts often and they are always appreciated. Quality and sophistication. All passports should come with one!
