I purchased luggage because of the lightweight feature. The largest bag is way too big for my travel but the other two bags have been well used. They do show a lot of wear and tear on the outside. The bags I have are the older model and have no side handle which makes them very difficult to lift overhead, etc. The pull-out handle is the width of the bag which makes it difficult to stack other things on the top when moving about.

I used this luggage to go across the Pacific and the US. It held up nicely. When I got it, I thought the handles were really ugly - they grow on you. I wish it had side handles - so do the taxi drivers and airport personnel!! It rolls great, handles well, and packs nicely. It served its purpose and was what I was looking for. Definitely worth the money, and it is very light - that's nice with the airline weight restrictions. The material is different than most so the luggage is easy to pick out at the baggage claim. It's also easy to wash with a wet cloth if it's dirty. All in all, I'm happy with it.
I thought I would treat myself to a large, $100 bag for my trip to California. I asked specifically if the luggage was suitable for size and weight restrictions and while the vendor assured me it was, it is clearly not. I travelled from Toronto, Canada to San Diego, California return. Descending the stairs to the taxi, the case scraped against the stairs and tore approximately 2". Upon arrival in San Diego, there was another tear and a third one on the return trip. I have made this same trip with dollar-store suitcases that survived without tears, so am extremely disappointed with this product. I will be looking for an exchange from the vendor.
Purchased several sets of these for family and friends, because of the low weight restrictions on overseas travel these days. Only 44 lbs for checked and 11 lbs for carryon for our trip to China! This is nearly impossible when standard cases weigh 12 to 15 lbs. The Sub 0s are extremely lite weight and are very basic looking, no frills. Can't comment on durability as I haven't taken them on a trip yet. However, my expensive Swiss Gear suitcases did not hold together on a trip to Africa last year, so I don't know that these could be worse. If you lose your handle (as I did on my Swiss Gear) you are up a creek since there is no second handle on the side. Finding the Sub 0 on Overstock allows me to give them a try without investing a fortune in new luggage.
THIS IS A VERY NICE LOOKING LUGGAGE SET, I CHOSE RED. I LIKE THE FACT THAT IS IS FLAT ON THE BOTTOM WHICH GIVES MUCH MORE ROOM TO PACK. IF THIS HOLDS UP AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS I WILL BE VERY HAPPY. THE PRICE WAS GOOD AND THE WEIGHT OF EACH PIECE IS JUST GREAT. I AM SO GLAD I FOUND THIS LUGGAGE,AS I HAVE TO HANDLE MY LUGGAGE MY SELF AND WEIGHT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE.. THE PRICE WAS GOOD AND I AM HAPPY. I HAVE NOT USED THE LUGGAGE YET BUT WILL BE TAKING IT ON A CRUISE VERY SOON AND THIS IS A REAL TEST AS THEY ARE NOT CAREFUL IN THE WAY THEY HANDEL YOUR LUGGAGE.
