Heys XCase 20-inch Lightweight Carry-on Luggage with Lined Interior

I bought two of these for a 10-day trip Husband and I took to Florida last summer. We had plenty of room for all of our clothes, a spare pair of shoes, and I even was able to put my laptop and bag of cables and accessories in it. It is deceptively small, but actually quite spacious, especially if you pack wrinkle-resistance clothing that you can roll up tightly in your case. I actually prefer the 2-wheel rolling design over the 4-wheel "spinner" cases, because the wheels are tucked away and don't add to the overall external size of the piece. The colors are stunning. I got the red for myself (a lovely metallic candy apple red reminiscent of a high-end racing bicycle), and the dark blue one for Husband. They got many compliments from fellow travelers at every airport. The best part of it is that the external dimensions are small enough to be GUARANTEED to be allowed on board with you, hands down, 1000000% of the time. No more panic attacks over not having your panties with you when you get to your destination. Do yourself a favor and get one of these. If you need to carry more volume in gear for any trip, it ahead, instead of risking airline luggage service.

I was looking for a lightweight bag for carry-ons. My previous bag, an Atlantic, fit perfectly in the overhead bins of U.S. airlines. Airlines in other countries are stricter, of course. I thought I was getting the maximum size that will fit, but this bag is clearly smaller than the previous bag. With the hard shell, it cannot expand. There are no exterior pockets. I had known this but thought I could overlook it. Now, I am missing having exterior pockets for easy access to boarding passes, passports, magazines, etc. As others have written, the area into which the handle collapses takes up a fair bit of interior space. Because of the shape, some of the interior area is in the lid portion, and the rest is in the main portion. If the lid were thinner, it would be easier to place everything in the main portion. It does look very good when new but it is already marred and I have barely used it. It got marred from being in contact with the closet door. If I did it again, I would get one with a soft exterior and outside pockets. And one that is a bit bigger.

I needed carry-on luggage for each of my 5 family members for an up and coming 7 day trip where flight was the primary form of travel. I wanted something modern looking and high quality. I had seen the Heys XCase in a high end sales magazine and loved the look of the luggage, but could not afford the high end price tag for each family member. I searched around and found the best price at Overstock, in addition to the great insights provided by the reviewers. When the luggage arrived it was packaged neatly in individual boxes. There were no flaws to 4 of the 5 cases; however the red one - which was actually more burgundy, had a small scrape on it in an inconspicuous location. We did not fret since this specific color belonged to our 6 year-old, who will end up banging and scraping the luggage even more. The carry-on rolls wonderfully on all surfaces, it is better than any other wheeled luggage I have tried. The case is spacious, the handle is easy to operate, and the interior is good quality. This carry-on is spacious and will easily hold a weeks worth of clothing for a child or small to medium size adult. The zipper can be a bit stubborn at times and the fact the case open sideways makes accessing contents a relatively difficult task if you are on the go, but otherwise we are completely satisfied.

i am returning this bag. the handle cuts through the middle of the bag which eliminates alot of the space. it also seems like it will scratch easily.
