These are great suitcases. They hold a surprising amount and seem to be very durable. One thing to be aware of, though: in the photos they all seem to have a very cool metallic-type finish, which isn't the case in real life. I ordered the silver, fuschia and the teal for my kids. The silver is a neat metallic color, but the others are matte colors and don't look as good as they did online. Other than that surprise, it was a great buy.
I just returned from a 2 week trip with this as my carry on. It looks great ( I got orange) and maneuvers well while rushing through large and crowded airports. The only drawback I found was that to get my laptop out I had to completely unzip and flip it open.I did have the case packed to capacity and the zipper wasn't any trouble. I pressed down on the lid and worked the zipper around without any troubles, tucking in anything sticking out. I think it was packed to about 20 pounds. It does fit under the seat in front of me, but was sticking out to my feet. It also fit in the overhead of a commuter plane (4 seats across) without any trouble. The handle slid up and down smoothly and I was able to lift the case with it as needed to get through some tight places.I wasn't gentle with it and I may have put undue stress on the zipper, but it cleaned up easy and held up well.
Awesome case, lightweight and very roomy to be a carry-on. Looks even better in person than in the pictures.

We have a Heys Spinner hardsided 3-pc set, and I wanted a smaller version of this type to replace an heavy Samsonite soft-sided model. The dimensions of this item are called out in the description, however this piece was significantly smaller than anticipated, although I measured carefully. Will be returning this in exchange for the larger 20" spinner model.Husband travels frequently, and is quite pleased with the Heys luggage we currently own, so I have no reason to believe he'll be unhappy with a smaller, lighter item that can be carried onboard instead of checked. The Samsonite I'm seeking to replace weights nearly 12 lbs, and the Heys about half that, so it should be less strain to hoist the Heys into the airplanes' overhead bins.
