love the bag and how much it fits inside however, it's difficult to pull it around due to the fact that the handle doesn't lock in place and the slightest pressure on it makes it start to retract. this can get a bit frustrating. good product otherwise.

I love the bag, especialy the many pockets, I'm not quite sure if I had filled it up completely, that it would have fit in the carryon bag size checker. The only thing that I really wish it had better is that when the handle is extended, it would klick locked until I want to put it down. As it is, the handle pushes down as I am standing or when I stop for a moment. Otherwise, it's a great duffle bag.

This is a very nice short trip bag. I went abroad for 3 days and carried 3 dress shirts, 2 dress pants, socks/undershorts, toiletries, some other assorted items, blazer, sweater and still had room. The whole bag once packed was 7.5 Kg and easy to carry. I did not bring a spare pair of shoes (running) or sports clothes, I probably could have added a pair or two of shorts/shirts and extra sweat socks. The outside pockets were still mostly empty (clear zip lock bag with toothpaste etc.. does not take up much room.So the big positives, this bag is light and can take a decent capacity as listed above and there was still room. The leather is very soft and of high quality so for the money you can't beat it. It has nice solid and large metal 'feet' on the bottom so the bag dose not sit directly in a puddle or what ever is on the floor. On the con side, the one item lacking was a way to keep it on the handle of my rolling briefcase. Many have a simple strap that is velcro-ed in place that you can pull out. The other was the fact that the sippers did not have the loop that allow a luggage lock to be inserted. I got a cable style lock that works, but a simple change to the sipper pull makes that a non issue. Lastly it has the leather that allows you to put both cary handles together. Normally this does not bother me, but this was made so the leather handle wrap is fastened with velcro and it is stiff and hard to get it to fasten straight and then if you need to get into the bag it is a two hand job to open it up. I would prefer if it did not have it at all. Over all I am very happy and find this helps for the short trips where the suitcase weights more then the clothes issue. I would order again and gladly use Overstock.com again.

I love, love, love this bag! The pink is a bit brigher in person, but I still love the look of it. It holds all of my gym clothes, shoes, iPod, lock, toiletries, and could fit so much more. I have been using it about 6 months and it is really not showing any signs of wear. I am very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend.

I ordered this and later a Coleman duffel of the same size. The Olympia is easier to pack as the top opening is larger than the Coleman. Both seem to have strong construction and great zippers that will allow for locking (I plan on using zipties as I've seen complaints from other reviews regarding airline allowed locks not fitting well). The Olympia does not have the same strong side construction of the dropdown case that the Coleman provides nor is the fabric as sturdy; however, for the price (about a $15 dollar difference between the two bags when I paid) I am pleased with the Olympia and have no qualms about using it to cross overseas this summer. Of course, the true test will be flight time. :)

I would have given this 5 stars if the extinding handle locked, if you have to push the bag the handle slides back in, It is well designed and a good size, Don't over load it if you want to use it as a cary on.

This is a nice bag for traveling. Wide variety of uses. I put a stiff cardboard box in it to hold it open when carrying fishing gear, photographic equipment, and small items at auctions.. Would be nicer if it had larger rings on zippers to accomodate locks.

I had to get this bag because I had gotten my little girl one but when it arrived I realized it was way 2 big for her to use. I sent the pink one back and got this one for me. It has an amazing amount of room in it, and all the pockets...wow! I love this bag, the handle locks in place and you can zip it out of site if you want to carry it on your shoulder. The material is very nice and sturdy. I can not say how it will hold up if you travel via airplane but for what I use it for it works just great. I am thinking about getting one for my husband as well.

I am in nursing school and needed a way to haul the tomes known as nursing books. This bag was to replace the cheap bag that blew out after a week. Not only did it replace it, it surpassed it. Heck this bag is big enough I could put all my books in, all my clinical supplies and attach the broken down old bag on the piggyback strap and it still rolls beautifully. The straps are double reinforced so I don't think I will have any problems there, or with the wheels, or with the zippers. This is a good bag. The only thing that wasn't quality was the microscopic lock they give to secure the bag, but since you can't fly with it locked and I don't need to lock it for school, I am not all that bothered by that. LOL.

I purchased the Olympia 30-inch rolling duffel bags for my upcoming trip (I have not used them yet). Here are some impressions of the bag: - the drop bottom creates two useful storage compartments. (If you have to lock, it means two locks though) - the material is thick and durable as indicated in the specifications. - the color is distinct enough, while not being too flashy. - the zippers are relatively small and perhaps the weakest part of these bags. Overall, they seem well built and functional for my needs.

Bought this duffel bag/suitcase and also it's 21" brother. Used them on a round trip to Mexico a couple weeks ago and they held up well. No rips, gouges or any other damage to them. For those who say they don't stand upright, it's just a matter of how you pack the duffel - I was able to place most of the things at the bottom and "stack" them from there. Both bags stood up fine. Plenty of pockets, easy access to all of them. Lightweight, durable bags. 2 reasons they didn't get 5 stars: 1) The retractable carrying handle does not lock into place, you pull it up and if you have to push your duffel, you have to angle it just right or it will retract; 2) There are no interior straps to cinch down your clothes/contents. For the $****+/- I paid for these, they have been worth it.

Traveler's Club 29-inch Rolling Upright Duffel Bag: For the value of it, it is worth it, but I do have as much pros as I have cons. I like that it has alot of pockets, unfortunately, you can't lock it together so that any of your personal items are not taken/stolen. It is very roomy but if you put that much items into this bag, it would seem that the blue fabric that this bag is made in is just a tad too thin. I am afraid one day that it would burst at the seams somewhere. And for me I didn't realize that when I stand it upright it would sag so badly causing the side of bag that is on the floor to get soooooooo dirty. The designer of this bag should have reinforced that side of the bad that goes on the floor when it stand upright. THAT is my big NO NO! They should have reinforced it to make it hard or they should have added some more black plastic nibs to keep the blue fabric part from touching the floor. All in all if you are just using it to take from your car to the door..use this..if going around the world..do not.

I really loved the color. I picked Dark Lavender and its beautiful! It was a good value and didn't take any damage on the flights but I'm not sure how well it would hold up for a constant traveler, but it was good for my two flights. It has lots of storage space and lots of pockets! I was able to use a small lock for the main compartment.

I am so annoyed with most airlines because they rip you off with charging for even the first check-in bag. (If Southwest flies where I want to go, I will fly with them AND I even pay more in total just on principle for Southwest flight because they still let you check in two bags for free.) Anyway, I had to fly somewhere where Southwest doesn't fly, and this bag is quite roomy and still fits perfectly well in the overhead space. It has one good size outside pocket where the pull handle is - where I put my "one clear quart-sized zip-lock bag" of toiletries, so it is easy to remove and put it in the security check tray. There are other smaller side pockets, too. It also had a good balance, I guess I managed to pack it well. Often these small pull-on duffel bags are wobbly - this one wasn't - and items also stayed in order.

I bought this duffel to use on various international trips. I like to have the drop bottom duffel because it provides a sturdier lower compartment, and the upper compartment can be expanded a great deal. The interior is substantial and easy to use. The outer pockets at the ends of the bag are large enough to hold hiking boots or a couple of pairs of sandals each. The side pocket is good for those smaller items I always need with me (corkscrew, duct tape, poncho). The lining on the bottom of the bag unzips, so I can hide paperwork and some cash. I realize this would not foil an experienced thief, but it makes me feel better. It rolls quite well, although I have not yet used it at an airport or on the street. For some reason, there is a shoulder strap which seems superfluous because of the wheels and rigid structure, The zipper pulls are not easily locked together because of their configuration, but with a bit of effort, I got some of the compartments locked. I am looking forward to using this nice looking bag.

Knew I would not use this much so bought a cheap one & got what I paid for. When it is filled with clothing and used in the rolling position it falls forward when left to stand upright. The support on the bottom is too far back from the front edge. Falling over each time is a pain for sure and hubby thinks he will add something toward the front edge to keep it from doing this. Also the handle does not lock when extended. Overall it works for my limited needs but if I were to order again I would spend more money and get a better product.

I purchased this duffel because I seen all the reviews on Over Stock. I went to Dubai and used it as my carry on. Has great deep pockets. Sturdy and held up well. however, the pull out bar handle did not want to stay locked up in place when I tried to push it forward in front of me when exiting the plane. It did well pulling from behind though. It was good for it's money. I think most young people would enjoy this.

I used this luggage for a trip to India--7 flights in total. The interior was fine--no tears or defects. This is a well-designed bag with several compartments and places to lock the bag. The bag did not sustain any damage or dings and was easily cleaned with shampoo. Only dislike is that it had a strong chemical odor when I opened the bag, so it needs 5 or more days outside opened to air out before use. Otherwise, a reliable, attractive, functional, sturdy piece of luggage. I recommend and will use again with confidence.

The bag is pretty much what I expected, but when you measure it once you have it full there is no way you are going to get by with it as a carry on. Also, the handle does not lock and if you push it backwards the handle slides down. For the price the bag is fine, but, just not a good "carry-on" bag.

I initially bought this bag as a gym bag so that I could seperate my shoes towel and clothes. It works fantastic for those purposes as it has the two large side pockets and front pocket as well. I did travel abroad recently and we ended up bring this bag as our large bag (light packers). It was great because it had the locking zippers which made locking the bag actually efficient. The strap was rather comfortable, however I will likely bring a bag with wheels for travel next time Just because it's easier not because the bag didn't work great!
For excellent travel luggage, invest in duffel bags. Their size and lack of rigidity allow them to be stuffed to the gills. With more and more baggage fees for flyers, duffel bags can help you cut down on luggage without cutting down on the things you need for your trips. Learning how to pack a duffel bag is easy with the following tips.
